10 Characters That Can Lead MCU in the Future
Since time immemorial, superheroes have known team-ups and team-ups have dictated that one amongst these heroes must rise up to be the leader. For the MCU that was Tony Stark until the end of The Infinity Saga. But now, things are different. Losing Iron Man is tragic but this also opens up an opportunity for someone else to take up the responsibility. The Studio played a clever move by having Captain America retire with the death of Iron Man. However, we made a list of all the characters that can lead the MCU according to our theories. Take a look and see if you agree…
Wanda Maximoff
The prevailing theory up until now is that Wanda will be the main antagonist of Mutliverse of Madness. But it is a distinct possibility that Scarlet Witch may surprise us all. This chaos witch certainly has the raw power to lead the MCU but we are not sure what kind of a future would that be. A dark despairing battle against Kang for the fate of the multiverse with Wanda in full swing. Whooo!
Shang-Chi
Everyone seems to think that Spider-Man will be the next Iron Man in the MCU. But, and hear us out, what if Shang-Chi is the next Spider-Man of the MCU. Shang-Chi’s martial arts were clearly a hit with fans, maybe now that Spider-Man has finished his trilogy, Shang-Chi can become the next fun sub-franchise in the MCU. But for that to happen a lot of things need to line up.
Doctor Strange
When the world was looking at Iron Man fighting the big purple alien, Marvel was busy instituting in your heads that Doctor Strange is Iron Man’s equal. Strange is just as cocky as Tony Stark and seems to be just as well-intentioned. He is the most valid contender to be carrying the weight of MCU’s stories in the near future. But we must remember, that Strange is a deeply selfish individual and without The Ancient One, this can have dire consequences.
Spider-Man
Peter Parker is a shoo-in to be the next headliner in the MCU. This is especially true after the success of No Way Home. No way Sony would risk losing the possibility of earning that kind of revenue again. The MCU is slated to become very big and it would be fun to have a Spider-Man in it as opposed to the other alternative.
Sam Wilson
When Steve seemingly defected to Hydra ( did not!? Was a Clone!), Sam Wilson was forced to take the super serum and inherit the mantle of Captain America. This happened in an alternate universe and we can see it happening in the MCU. We know that the serum exists and that Sam has a new Falcon cum Captain America suit. He would be the perfect choice to lead the next Avengers movie and thereby the MCU.
Sylvie
How great it would be if MCU gives us a proper redemption arc for their newest and most notorious Loki yet. Yes! I am talking about Sylvie. This Loki has been evil since birth and wants nothing but revenge on Kang. Who better to lead the multiversal war than Sylvie herself. She may be the only one who could make all the other heroes work together.
Eros
Although Harry Styles is new to the MCU, his bombastic entrance at the end of Eternals betrays the trust that Marvel has in this character. Eros is the brother of Thanos and a pretty prominent character in the comics. Harry Styles has reportedly signed five picture deals with the MCU. So this means that the character will become an important part of all the movies that would revolve around space travel. Maybe we will see him in Love And Thunder.
Kate Bishop
After her Stellar performance in Hawkeye, Kate Bishop is all set to replace Clint Barton as the next Hawkeye in The MCU. To this end, it seems that Kate will first have to show up in a mainline movie and not just an OTT show. It has been rumored that she will be the spark that sets off the plot of Young Avengers ablaze. I, for one, cannot wait for that storyline.
She-Hulk
She-Hulk is one of those characters that can lead the MCU according to our theories. She has the vigor and the raw power for it. We only have to see if she has the on-screen charisma to pull it off. Up until now, we have not been disappointed by the Disney+ Marvel shows so we have faith., Maybe She-Hulk will impress us enough to become an MCU staple.
Captain Marvel
While Captain Marvel may not lead the MCU, she will still be leading her own team of superheroes titled the “Marvels”. Kamala Khan is going to be a part of this team with her new projection powers. Carol Danvers’ might coupled with the ingenuity of her team will result in an amusing dynamic. We will know more when she returns to Earth.
