Thor 4’s Merch Reveals The Design of Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher
This year we are going to witness some of the biggest sequels in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Each of these movies will continue the solo ventures of some of our favorite characters. With each new story, we will also get to see a fresh villain facing off our MCU hero. Not much is known about most of these characters but one the most exciting amongst them is definitely Gorr the God Butcher. Considering it is an MCU project there is a lot of secrecy around the upcoming Thor sequel and that’s why we haven’t got a proper look at Gorr yet. It seems that the Thor: Love and Thunder LEGO sets might have revealed the design of Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher in the movie.

Details regarding the plot of the upcoming Thor sequel are under wraps and that has only increased the hype for the project. There was a lot of excitement when fans discovered that it was going to feature such a massive cast of characters. The biggest of all this news was the fact that we will be getting to see Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster return in the movie and take the mantle of the God of Thunder by wielding the Mjolnir. Not only that, but we will also get to see Thor’s new friends the Guardians of the Galaxy appear in the movie. Other’s returning include Korg, Valkyrie, Lady Sif, and Miek.
A superhero movie is as good as the villain that appears in the movie and it seems Thor 4 isn’t gonna have any ordinary villain. Christian Bale will be seen taking on the role of Gorr the God Butcher and appear opposite Thor in the movie. It is an interesting choice of actor to play the villain and also mark the MCU debut of Bale. Even Russell Crowe has joined the cast as Zeus in the movie. Though there is hardly any information regarding both the characters, fans are wondering if we will be getting to see Gorr trying to kill Zeus and thus coming across Thor.
Thor 4 LEGO Set Reveals Christian Bale as Gorr
Based on the first official LEGO set for Thor: Love and Thunder, we have gotten a chance to see Thor and Jane Foster fighting Gorr. Marvel officially released the first look at The Goat Boat Lego Set for the promotion of the movie. This set shows Gorr and Mighty Thor fighting mid-air while Thor can be seen shooting some lightning at the villain while standing on the deck of the Asgardian ship. Other characters appearing in this set include Taika Waititi’s Korg, Tessa Thompson’s King Valkyrie, and the goats from Thor’s legends, Toothgnasher and Toothgrinder.
This is the first time that we are getting to see any merchandise for Thor 4. Toothgnasher and Toothgrinder are also making their first appearance in the franchise as fans of the God of Thunder might know that they pull his chariot. An interesting detail in this set also includes a sword in Gorr’s hand and it could be none other than the Necrosword that he used to kill the various gods. This makes for an interesting look a the character even though one can say that it isn’t exactly very much detailed. Gorr is using his All-Black sword against Mighty Thor who is clearly wielding the Mjolnir while Thor can be seen using the Stormbreaker.
Even though this marks an interesting insight into the characters and their designs in the upcoming movie, we are hoping we get to see a proper look at the movie soon. It would make for a very interesting move if a teaser ends up coming out soon. There was much speculation that we would be getting to see a teaser during the Super Bowl but that didn’t happen. As the release date of the movie is coming closer we might get a proper sneak peek before Doctor Strange 2 comes out. Let’s hope that the trailer also gives us our first proper look at Bale’s Gorr.
Thor: Love and Thunder will be released in theaters worldwide on July 8.
