The Flash first appeared in a comic strip back in 1940. But Barry Allen’ the Flash didn’t appear until October 1956. Since then, he has portrayed a bunch of cool superpowers, namely super-speed and time travel. But, a new comic issue featuring Barry in his young years, shows a new power of the Flash that has never been seen before. Keep up with the post to find more about it.
In his more than 70 years of appearances in the comics, Barry Allen has a bunch of superpowers in his arsenal. Besides his super-speed and a connection to the Speed Force, some of his cooler superpowers include time travel and phasing. He can vibrate his body’s atoms so fast that it allows him to move through a solid object. Over the years, this power of his has been shown in many live-action TV shows. But he is yet to portray this superpower in the wider DCEU. And don’t get us started on his ability to travel through time.
All in all, DC’s Flash is not limited to just super-speed. Once, he created a full-powered cyclone just by moving his arms very fast in a circular motion. His powers can even generate a vacuum in a given space. He is even able to harness the electricity that generates around him when he runs at super speeds. And his super-speed also gives him the ability to run so fast that he can run on any surface at any angle. Now that is cool!
The New Power of The Flash
After using time travel to save the world in Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen will be traveling back in time again in his solo film The Flash (2022). So, to bridge the gap between the two movies, DC introduced a limited comic series, The Flash: The Fastest Man Alive. Recently, the second issue of the limited series hinted at a new superpower. The comic also hinted at the Big Bad of the issue, Tar Pit. All of this information comes from a media company, ComicBook.com.

From the looks of the leaked information, we think that this issue will be the one where Barry faces Tar Pit for the first time. For a newbie like Barry, Tar Pit will prove to be a formidable villain, until he learns how to phase through solids. And we think that in this issue, he will improve upon this technique by producing explosive blasts while phasing through objects. He has never done that before in any of his appearances, comics or otherwise. This shows that there is still a lot of things that we don’t know about the character. Moreover, this can open up a lot of possibilities for the character in the future.
Excited to see Flash creating these explosive blasts while phasing through walls and stuff? The Flash hits theatres on November 4.
