This year we are going to witness some of the most exciting narratives unfold in the MCU. The movies will be sequels to some of the most important solo ventures in the franchise. Taika Waititi will return with another installment of Thor that will feature some of the most exciting events in the narrative. There are a lot of MCU characters supposed to appear in the movie along with a significant appearance from Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster. She will have a massive role to play in the movie. But another interesting debut in the movie is going to be Christian Bale’s Gorr the Butcher. It will be interesting to see how both of these actors play a major role in the movie. According to a new theory from Thor: Love & Thunder, Jane will defeat Gorr the God Butcher.

Thor: Love and Thunder

There is a lot of hype for the new entry to Thor’s solo venture. Most of this excitement is because it will be the first time we will get to see a lot of characters following the events of Endgame. But the most interesting part of the movie has to be the fact that we will get to see Natalie Portman become the Mighty Thor. Ever since fans found out about this they were keen to see anything from the movie. Recently leaks indicated that she will be wielding the Mjolnir that will be put together since it was shattered by Hela in Ragnarok. But we are yet to get any hint at how Christian Bale will take on the role of Gorr.

Jane Foster Will Defeat Gorr

It seems that Jane Foster and Gorr will be having some scenes together. We only got one behind-the-scenes look at how Christian Bale will look as Gorr. Recently, Natalie Portman actually talked about Bale’s take on the role. She said:

Christian would do surprising things all the time… It’s fun to watch – and sometimes scary, like when he’s like diving off a dock into the ocean when you don’t expect it in the middle of a scene. But he also keeps everything feeling very alive and spontaneous. It was really a fun, unusual experience.

Gorr The God Butcher

Before we dive into the possible narrative for Thor 4 and how Gorr works into it, let’s explore the character. According to the comics, Gorr was born on a planet that didn’t have a name and lived constantly on the brink of starvation. Even after all this their culture primarily focused on having faith and trusting the Gods. But despite all this faith the Gods never came at the time of need. Gorr actually had a lot of loss with the death of his pregnant partner Arra, his mother, and all of his children died. Upon losing all hope he declared that the so-called Gods did not exist.

But things took a different turn when he came upon two elder Gods fighting each other. One of these Gods begged for help from him and this led to Gorr realizing that Gods do exist. He was outraged by the idea that they existed and one of them was asking for his help even though they were absent during his time of need. He went ahead and slew this God right on the spot. But he didn’t stop here as he vowed vengeance against all God and went around the cosmos for thousands of years to kill all the Gods who crossed his path.

Jane Foster Will Defeat Gorr

There is no insight yet whether Gorr will continue with his goals from the comics in the movies. But with the indication that Russell Crowe will be playing Zeus in Love and Thunder thus paving the way for a God. That clearly means that Gorr will have more victims to go for. Thus Gorr will end up being a major threat to Thor. This won’t be an ordinary moment considering Thor has always been arrogant and that will lead to an interesting challenge for Thor. Thor might require more help than he could’ve expected and this could be the cue for Jane.

Jane Foster Will Defeat Gorr

Based on one of the recent updates, we saw that there will be a particular moment in the movie that will take place where we saw the Mjolnir being shattered. But how Jane Foster will acquire the hammer here and utilize it is not known. This could mean that Jane will end up being a key to defeating Gorr the Butcher. There is a chance that we might see Gorr wielding the Necrosword which is more impactful on true Gods. Considering Jane is not exactly a God, upon wielding the Mjolnir she will end up gaining the powers of Thor. Thus Gorr’s Necrosword won’t allow him to have a benefit over Jane and thus make her a powerful hero.

Thor: Love and Thunder will be released in theaters worldwide on July 8.
