Infinity War Could Solve The Villain Problem In Doctor Strange 2

With the release date coming closer, the hype for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has reached new levels. A lot of theories and rumors are making rounds about the movie, giving us an idea regarding what we might get to see in it. The latest trailer has even paved the way for a lot of new theories to come up with interesting details and references spread all through the clip. But one thing that isn’t clear about the movie is regarding the prime antagonist of the movie. We are left wondering about who will end up being the prime antagonist in the movie. There is a chance that Avengers: Infinity War could give us a solution to the villain problem in Doctor Strange 2.

Multiverse of Madness

A lot of details have come out regarding Doctor Strange 2 based on the latest trailer for the movie. One of the coolest things about this has to be the fact that there are a lot of things seen happening throughout the movie. It was even hinted that Strange will have to go against Scarlet Witch in the movie too. This became fairly obvious when the latest trailer showed Wanda to be not in her best mood. A lot of interesting variants of the characters will also be appearing in the movie and this has increased the level of the threat the Strange will be facing.

Another major development is with the council that is seen summoning Strange for his crimes. It has been theorized that this will be none other than the Illuminati with Patrick Stewart reprising his role as Professor Xavier as a member of the council. This council will be seen as a certain body that governs the multiverse and they find Strange for causing chaos as seen in Spider-Man: No Way Home. At the same time, the movie will mark the debut of Xochitl Gomez’s America Chavez and it seems that she will be from another universe. That paves the way for her to use her abilities to travel between the realities as an essential part of the narrative of the movie.

Another Villain In Multiverse of Madness

Villain Problem In Doctor Strange 2

Fans might have seen another horrifying creature appearing in the full-length trailer for Doctor Strange 2. During a particular moment from the trailer, Xochitl Gomez could be seen struggling against a mysterious and terrifying creature. There has been some mystery surrounding this character and it seems like nobody has a clear idea about it. Upon closer inspection, one can actually see who this villain is as it brings to memory a particular moment from the arc of Doctor Strange.

Strange was last seen using every means for the battle when he came across Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. He was trying every possible move he knew in order to prevent Thanos from getting hold of the Time Stone. Amongst these spells, Strange uses an iconic weapon to make sure Thanos is unable to close his fist. This was none other than the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak. That and the villains who appear to have captured Xochitl Gomez look quite similar. Does this mean that Cyttorak himself might be appearing in the movie?

According to the comics, Cyttorak is a being of endless magical might. There have been times when he has been referred to as a god. At the same time, he has been also referred to as a demon. This character didn’t really get a proper chance to establish itself as a primary villain in the narrative. But the magical power that it uses has gotten quite the renown. He is actually known for the Crimson Gem, which is quite popular for the creation of X-Men villain Juggernaut.

Not much is known regarding who and what is going to be the primary antagonist in the movie. Considering it is going to delve into the horror genre, it is interesting to see such horrifying characters appearing in the trailer for the movie. It doesn’t seem as if this character will be one of the primary villains and instead it could have a momentary appearance like Gargantos.
