Will The Weirdest Sorcerer Supreme of Marvel Return in Doctor Strange 2?

Over the years we have seen a lot of characters make their appearances in the MCU. Some of these characters ended up having recurring roles and they might end up having their own solo ventures. But the same cannot be said about some of the other supporting characters in the MCU. There are various versions of the heroes that exist in Marvel and they are the legacy characters. We are well aware of characters like Kamala Khan and Miles Morales, who are actually certain renditions of heroes like Captain Marvel and Spider-Man. Some of them are quite popular and are also supposed to make their appearance in the MCU pretty soon. But another interesting character is Krugarr. With the various versions of Doctor Strange making their appearance in Multiverse of Madness, fans are wondering if they will get to see the extraterrestrial Sorcerer Supreme of Marvel comics make a return too.

Krugarr

This is a relatively unknown character but one can see him be a certain version of Doctor Strange. The early Marvel comics saw him as the resident sorcerer supreme of the original Guardians of the Galaxy. This character is actually one of the most powerful users of magic in the universe. He made his first appearance as a creation of Jim Valentino in Guardians of the Galaxy Annual #1. Known as Lem, this species has a worm-like appearance but not much is known about their long lifespan. Krugarr is highly intelligent and even though he lacks a mouth, he has found an effective way of communicating in the comics.

The character is actually associated with Doctor Strange, as he became the Sorcerer Supreme after learning magic from Strange. Considered to be an exceptional student of Strange he gained the Cloak of Levitation as a part of his outfit. He would end up taking Strange’s mantle when the latter would become the new Ancient One. Being a part of the Guardians of the Galaxy he can cast powerful spells, astral projects, and even call upon a variety of magical beings. He ended up becoming a very important part of the Guardians of the Galaxy because of his potential. He even ended up being the mentor to some new magical characters.

Krugarr actually appeared in the MCU for a very short period as one of the side characters in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. He appears as a part of the classic Guardians team. Here we actually saw him appear as a mute and use his projections as a means of communicating with the rest of the team. Not only that but the character is actually supposed to be responsible for bringing the Ravagers during the final battle during Endgame. Fans have theorized that his connections as a sorcerer might have allowed him to be brought along with the rest of the heroes during the final battle.

But fans are left wondering when we might get to see him next because of the very small appearance he had in the MCU. There isn’t much that is known about the character but we are aware that he has some skills in the mystic arts. This is because he was seen using magic to express himself. His appearance with the rest of the team actually indicated that we will get to see them return very soon. With the multiversal chaos incoming, we can see him return and come to the aid of Doctor Strange. This could actually give way for the character to get some development and we might see Strange teaching him some more.

This could actually work out considering this would be the ideal means of bringing the character back. We might get some idea regarding the theory about Krugarr being responsible for bringing the Ravagers to help the Avengers during the Endgame battle. Doctor Strange might be surprised by him but he might stand next to the variety of other sorcerer supremes we will get to see in the movie.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be released in theaters worldwide on May 6.
