Last year we got to see a lot of projects based on the Marvel Cinematic Universe appear on the Disney+ streaming platform in the series format. The success of this format actually saw various other projects getting made to be released on the streaming platform. This year we have a lot of these projects that are gonna be entirely new making their appearance. Each show will end up introducing us to a whole new character from the MCU we hadn’t seen before. Marvel just released the trailer for the very first series that we are gonna get a chance to see this year. Marvel has revealed the first Moon Knight trailer along with a premiere date for their next MCU project and it is every bit as exciting as we might have imagined it to be.
Moon Knight
We got a teaser for the upcoming shows that we will be getting to see this year. Fans were eager to know the premiere dates for these shows. The most exciting amongst these was when we got to see was that of Oscar Isaac in the role of Moon Knight. Considering Moon Knight is one of the darkest characters in the Marvel Universe, fans were wondering how Marvel would adapt it onto the screen. With a brilliant actor like Oscar Isaac in the lead, there were a lot of opportunities for Marvel to do something with the narrative. It seems that time is here for us to get our very first look at the trailer for Moon Knight.
According to the synopsis of the series, Moon Knight will be:
A new globetrotting action-adventure series featuring a complex vigilante who suffers from dissociative identity disorder. The multiple identities who live inside him find themselves thrust into a deadly war of the gods against the backdrop of modern and ancient Egypt.
First Moon Knight trailer
The very first full-length trailer for the Marvel Studios’ upcoming series Moon Knight has arrived during the NFL Super Wild Card Game and it gives an extended look at Marc Spector. We also got a chance to look at the Egyptian god of the Moon, Khonshu. There was also a quick glance at someone who will be a supporting character in the series, and this was actually one of the most impactful shots from the movie. We also got a chance to see the character in his costume and it clearly takes the Egyptian roots into account and lands us with the perfect adaptation for the character from Marvel.
Ethan Hawke’s character appears in the trailer for a rather interesting scene as Doctor Arthur Harrow. He will be playing one of the antagonists in the series based on previous reports. We also got our very first post to reveal for the upcoming series. The poster shows a bloodied wrapped hand that belongs to Moon Knight, holding his signature blades in the crescent moon shape.
One can clearly see that the series will put the primary focus on the depth of the character of Moon Knight. The struggle with Dissociative Identity Disorder will actually be playing a significant role in the series and a major part of the plot. We will also get to explore whether Marc Spector is a superhero or if the person just requires some serious help. But before Marc, it seems that this trailer is making the other personality, Steven Grant in the center. So, that’s a huge change from the comics you see.
Marvel had done it yet again with another character being brought to the live-action. There was much excitement regarding this series considering this character hasn’t been adapted before and it seems that Marvel took the bold choices with this one. We can clearly see that the studios have actually nailed the look for the character as we had seen him in comics before.
Moon Knight will premiere on the Disney+ streaming platform on March 30.
