Flash Season 3: Is the Death of Iris West Inevitable?
In the first half of the season, it’s revealed that Savitar is trapped for eternity by the future Flash (in comics it’s Wally west), and he can manifest only if the box carrying Brahmastra gets opened. He made a prophecy that one member of the Team Flash shall die, and it’s Barry Allen’s love interest Iris West whom he saw being stabbed by Savitar when he accidently travelled five months into the future. The biggest question in the mind of every fan has been – Can Barry somehow save Iris West from her probable death?
The latest episode titled “Borrowing problems from the future” official synopsis is as follows:
Barry fights for Iris: Barry (Grant Gustin) is tormented by his vision of the future where Iris (Candice Patton) is murdered by Savitar. When a criminal named Plunder (guest star Stephen Huszar) shows up in Central City, Barry recalls the villain’s presence in his vision of the future and fears that if he catches Plunder, it will cement Iris’ fate. Confused about Barry’s hesitation to stop Plunder, Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) decides to step in as Kid Flash. Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) offers Julian (Tom Felton) a job.
Barry has been having nightmares of seeing Iris get killed at the hands of Savitar, he gathered courage and decided to share this with Team Flash. Cisco used his vibing abilities and took Barry to the exact time and place where he saw Iris and Savitar, they noticed five headlines in the news – Jared Morillo/Plunder is caught by the Flash, Star Labs museum is closed, Killer Frost still at large, City recovers from Gorilla attacks and Captain Joe West gets honored. If they change these future events, they may succeed at averting the impending death of Iris West.
Well, Kid Flash has captured Plunder instead of Barry Allen. Does that mean Team Flash has already changed the future? Comment below.
