New Rumor Suggests that Black Bolt Will Appear In Doctor Strange 2

Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe are really hyped for the next big event that is going to be Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. There are a lot of theories going around with the project as to what we might get to witness in the Doctor Strange sequel. We got our first look for the movie in the end-credits sequence for Spider-Man: No Way Home. It seems that here we will get to see a lot more of the effects of the multiverse that we had gotten to see in No Way Home. Amongst the theories about the movie, one major theory suggests that we might get to see a Marvel character making an appearance. An ongoing rumor suggests that the Inhumans Leader, Black Bolt will appear in Doctor Strange 2.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is actually supposed to see a lot more of the chaos due to the Multiverse unfold that we witnessed in No Way Home. According to the teaser, the movie will actually feature one of the wildest narratives. Doctor Strange has to continue trying to put in control the effects of the multiversal chaos as he witnesses enemies across the multiverse. An initial theory suggested that the prime antagonist in the movie would be Scarlet Witch but this was actually proven wrong when the teaser indicated that Strange actually seeks her help to stop the multiversal chaos.

This is not the only theory considering rumors started going on suggesting that we might actually end up seeing a character appearing in the movie from the Fox Studios Marvel movies. The Fox Studios movies included the Fantastic Four movies and the X-Men. Considering Wanda is a mutant herself it was assumed that we might end up seeing a significant mutant, thus setting up the X-Men in the MCU. But a new rumor has now suggested that we might see a wholly different character, that might actually be one of the Inhumans.

Black Bolt will appear in Doctor Strange 2?

According to Fandomwire, we might end up seeing a rather surprising cameo in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The post made by them suggested that while there might be a lot of rumors going around regarding appearances in the movie, fans will still be shocked to see it when it comes out in theaters. This has been the case in terms of No Way Home too as fans were already wondering about the appearance of the past Spider-Man in the movie but they were still shocked to see them actually appearing. There have been speculations regarding the appearance of a character from the Marvel group The Illuminati in the movie.

The post suggests that:

One potential member of the Illuminati is an Inhuman I was able to confirm could be appearing in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Leader of the Inhumans, Black Bolt should be appearing in the film. Marvel currently has plans to use Black Bolt and the Illuminati, and they’ll be appearing barring the scene makes the final cut of the film. I was unable to confirm if Anson Mount would be reprising his role from the TV series. However, it would make sense that Marvel Studios would try and distance itself from that project.

Despite Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness undergoing massive re-shoots to add cameos, this one wasn’t one of them. I was able to confirm that this was in fact planned prior to reshoots. As long as this one didn’t get lost in the cuts, the Inhumans are coming, and their leader could be coming soon.

Black Bolt will appear in Doctor Strange 2?

There were plans of an Inhumans film that were actually dropped for a series that didn’t quite live up to expectations. It was even believed that Vin Diesel would be playing the character of Black Bolt. Even though the Fast & Furious star is already voicing Groot in the MCU, he could make an appearance as the character. This would be a fun nod considering Black Bolt is known for his physicality and hardly utters a word because his voice produces destructive shockwaves. The theory was also confirmed by Daniel Richtman but he isn’t sure if these plans were dropped and the cameo was switched for some other character.

We can only be sure of this theory when Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness comes out in theatres worldwide on May 6, 2022.
