8. THE MANY SAINTS OF NEWARK (OCT 1)

Director: Alan Taylor

Cast: Ray Liotta, Michael Gandolfini, Vera Farmiga, Jon Bernthal, Joey Diaz, Billy Magnussen, Alessandro Nivola, Gabriella Piazza, Michaela De Rossi, David Chase & Sasha Morfaw.

This movie is the prequel to the popular crime show of the 2000s. The Sopranos was a pretty successful TV show and has grown popular in the last two decades. After heavy demand from its fans, the creators have finally released this movie which follows the lead of the show, Tony Soprano’s childhood. The movie has been released so be sure to check it out if you haven’t already.

 

7. TITANE (OCT 1)

Though Titane premiered at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year, it is now being released in the theatres for the public. From the looks of the trailer, it seems that the movie will be filler with violence and thrills with a scoop of mystery and shocking revelations. The movie has won the Palme D’Or, so this movie must be in your to-do list this week.

 

6. NO TIME TO DIE

Cast: Daniel Craig, Rami Malek, Lashana Lynch, Lea Seydoux, Christoph Waltz, Ana de Armas, David Dencik, Billy Magnussen, Dali Benssalah, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw & Naomie Harris.

As a new threat surfaces, millions of lives are endangered. Once retired James Bond is forced back into the life of spies. This movie will mark the end of an era as Daniel Craig takes up the mantle of 007 for the last time. He has been playing this character since 2006’s Casino Royale. The movie was postponed multiple times before finally releasing earlier this month. If you are a fan of Bond, make sure to watch it (if you haven’t already).

 

5. DOPESICK (OCT 13)

Cast:  Michael Keaton, Peter Sarsgaard, Michael Stuhlbarg, Will Poulter, John Hoogenakker, Kaitlyn Dever, Rosario Dawson, Phillipa Soo & Jake McDorman.

Dopesick explores America’s opioids problem. From the drugs moving through the cartel, to pharma companies under the DEA’s noses, this movie has it all. The movie is based on the novel Dopesick by Beth Macy. The movie will be released for streaming on Hulu from Oct 13.

Based in the medieval setting, the thriller movie follows the lives of Marguerite de Carrouges, her husband, Jean de Carrouges, and Jacque LeGris. Marguerite accuses Jacque of assaulting her and it is now upon Jean to defend her honor by challenging Jacque in a duel. You can watch The Last Duel in theatres next week.

I Know What You Did Last Summer was a classic hit among the people, back in 1997. The movie aged very well as it was just the right amount of thrill and horror. For its fans, the movie is getting a reboot on the OTT platform of Amazon Prime Video. The plot will be almost the same with some minor changes along the way.
