Marvel Universe: 10 Best Allies Of Black Widow

It is impossible, but even Black Widow has indeed taken help from her allies. She grew up without family and friends and was trained as a spy in the Red Room. Now, this did not leave much room for her to trust anyone. But when that heart melt, it meant a huge deal. She did not have many friends and the ones with whom she used to stick around were her most trusted allies. Rarely these friends were lucky enough to earn Black Widow’s faithfulness and she was ready to do anything for them. Here are 10 best allies of Black Widow.

1. Captain Marvel

Captain Marvel and Black Widow have indeed been together on missions. This was long before Carol Danvers got her powers to become Ms. Marvel. Both of them have teamed up with Nick Fury once to rescue Wolverine from HYDRA. The characters have not teamed up yet in the movies. Now it is unlikely that we might get to see this team up in movies. But it is possible considering if Black Widow gets a sequel or another sequel to Captain Marvel.

2. Daredevil

Daredevil and Black Widow used to be a couple and also lived together for some time. They parted ways at a point in time and Natasha and Matt Murdock still shared a healthy bond. Daredevil appeared in his series on Netflix and it got canceled after three seasons. Now rumors say that the character might appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Considering that, we might get to see the relationship of Daredevil and Black Widow being explored if a Black Widow sequel is made with Scarlett Johansson in the lead.

3. Yelena Belova

Best Allies Of Black Widow

The character of Yelena Belova was recently seen in Black Widow. This was Yelena’s debut in the MCU. She and Black Widow are currently the new and most popular duo in MCU. They are the fiercest Black Widows to have emerged from the Red Room and they share an interesting relationship. In the last few years, they have been each other’s worst enemies and the best allies. Despite their differences and skirmishes, Yelena and Natasha share a mutual love and are protective of each other.

4. Red Widow

Black Widow and Ava Orlova or Red Widow have also crossed paths when Natasha saved her from a Russian gang. She handed the young Ava to S.H.I.E.L.D. and trusted them to take her responsibility. But they kept her locked for many years before she escaped to become the Red Widow. The character has not yet made her MCU debut but since many things are being planned, we might get to see a Red Widow standalone movie or a crossover sometime in the future.

5. Iron Man

Tony Stark aka Iron Man met Black Widow when she was a Russian spy. She then decided to leave her organization and joined the hero to redeem for her red ledger. Now in the MCU, they have teamed up together as part of the Avengers initiative. They took down a lot of enemies. Natasha was also hired by Nick Fury to protect Tony Stark when Ivan Vanko was obsessed to kill Tony. MCU had a lot of opportunities to explore more of this relationship but that won’t happen anymore since both of them are now dead in the MCU.

6. Winter Soldier

Black Widow and Winter Soldier have been victims of Russian agents and they are the two deadliest spies that crossed paths many times. They were also in love with each other until the Russian powerhouse separated them. Their relationship did not get much explored in the MCU since Winter Soldier later returned as an assassin of HYDRA and the characters did not get a chance to have a proper conversation with each other. Well, that is not possible anymore considering the status of the characters in MCU.

7. Hawkeye

Best Allies Of Black Widow

Hawkeye aka Clint Barton has been one of the closest friends and trusted allies of Black Widow. They go to death to save each other. Hawkeye helped Black Widow during the Budapest mission and Natasha sacrificed herself for him in Avengers: Endgame. Marvel movies never explored their backstory and how they came to know each other but it was evident even in the movies that they knew each other for a long time.

8. Maria Hill

The films did not explore the relationship between Maria Hill and Black Widow. According to the comics, the characters were very close to each other during their time at S.H.I.E.L.D. Natasha also avenged Maria’s fake death by going after Taskmaster. In the MCU, Maria Hill and Black Widow did not get much screen space together but they worked together in most of the missions. Maria was seen helping Black Widow along with the other Avengers in many missions.

9. Nick Fury

Black Widow and Nick Fury have been family as well as allies for many years. The comic book and movie versions of Nick Fury are completely different from each other. MCU’s Nick Fury was influenced by the original one’s son. But it was the original Nick Fury in comics who was close to Natasha and bought her to America. In the movies, we saw that Black Widow was the only one who was trusted by Nick Fury. He even sent her to protect Tony Stark and keep a look on him.

10. Captain America

There has been a very close relationship between Black Widow and Captain America in the comics as well as movies. In the comics, Black Widow and Captain America went back to World War II when Steve saved her from the Hand who tried to turn Natasha into a brainwashed assassin. Both of them have also fought as the Earth’s mightiest heroes, the Avengers. In the MCU, Black Widow risked her life and job to save Steve from Agent Ross and also showed up for Steve as a friend at Peggy’s funeral.
