New Transformers Movie Title, Release Date and Other Details Revealed

The Transformers franchise is one of the most successful franchises out there and that’s without a hiccup. Michael Bay’s Transformers movies have been huge box office hits and very profitable for the Paramount Studios. But yes, we do get mixed reviews every now and then. So, on that note, let’s talk about the latest revelation regarding the new Transformers movie. So, I have a lot of information for you to digest! The new Transformers movie title is here.

New Transformers Movie Title Revealed By Paramount Studios

Paramount gave us our first details about the next Transformers movie. The title has been revealed to be Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. But, there’s more to it. During the presentation, Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Steven Caple Jr. gave us something more to enjoy. It was revealed that some of the Beast Wars characters and factions will be in play in the project.

Bonaventura said:

“We wanted to give the audience a lot of new. We have exhausted I would say the battle between the Autobots and Decepticons. How do we find a new set of villains and priorities, saving the world is left to the Autobots and in this case the Maximals. Part of the new news, if you’ve seen the other movies, you’re going to see villains you’ve never seen before and a lot of elements we’ve never done before.”

So, it’s been made clear that the live-action flick is adapting the popular Beast Wars animated series. This means that the action figure line which sees the Autobots (Maximals) and Decepticons (Predacons) transform into animals and dinosaurs instead of vehicles i.e. To understand better, Optimus Primal would be a gorilla, Megatron would be a dinosaur, Rhinox (Rhino), Cheetor (Cheetah), Scorponok (Scorpion), etc.

Transformers 7 Release Date & Vital Details

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is the next movie in the franchise. It won’t just be Autobots and Decepticons though, and it’s time to make way for some new factions that fans will recognize. And this was confirmed by the Transformers social network. Check out the post below:

It was also confirmed that the film will take place in 1994. Need I remind you, it is the same time when the Beast Wars action figures debuted. But now, Transformers is going in a new direction as Michael Bay is no longer involved. Regarding the heroes and villains in the film, director Steven Caple Jr. said:

“In their disguise, they [take on] animal form. So…in our film, they’re these prehistoric animals that travel through time and space, and we find them here on Earth. The Predacons in our film are more reptilian in nature. We’ve seen a few in other Transformers films, but [in the new film], we get to see another side of them. It’s all about building a backstory to these characters, and we’ll see that more on the Predacon and Terracon side.”

Considering the 1994 time frame, it means that the film’s central characters are based in Brooklyn, and will move between New York and Machu Pichu. Considering that the focus is on new things and bringing in new additions to the franchise, it makes sense then that the franchise is now leaning so heavily into Beast Wars. Moreover, the popularity of Beast Wars is on a crazy level.

Optimus Prime in Rise Of The Beasts

We’re excited for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. That’s because it was also revealed the main hero of this film will be none other than Optimus Prime. The design is very G1, with the big pops of color throughout the suit but with a modern flair. According to Paramount, the Rise of the Beasts Optimus design will be somewhat new, but it will presumably stay pretty close to the character’s look in Bumblebee.

Caple Jr. said:

“I care so much about this character and I saw Bumblebee. I wanted to get underneath the metal if you will and explore his experience on earth, and he’s my main robot, are we going G1, yes, we are going G1 Optimus Prime. We wanted to expand the universe, you have the Autobots and the Decepticons, and I would say my new flair to this is the Terracons. The Terracons are a new threat to Optimus Prime, and it’s something I pride myself on when entering the franchise.”

So, it is clear. Our very own Optimus Prime will be donning the G1 look. But this time, the threat might be bigger than ever. While referring to doing Rocky with Creed, Caple Jr. wants to bring back the nostalgia. Prime is always at the center of the story, and the one who always goes above and beyond. So, it will definitely be interesting to see him fight off the new threats. Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will release on June 24, 2022.
