10 Marvel Characters That Could Be The Villain of Loki Series

Disney+’s Loki still has a lot left in store for the audience. Now we were getting to see a cloaked figure since the first trailer. There were a lot of speculations on who would be this character. Now the second episode of the series revealed that the cloaked figure is none other than Lady Loki. It was an evil character. Also, this might not be the end of the list of villains for Loki. There are still a lot of things left to be revealed. Loki is himself evil. But possibly he might not be the villain. So the question is who might be the villain? Well, let’s check out the possibilities for the villain of Loki series on Disney+:

1. Gorr the God Butcher

Gorr the God Butcher will make his MCU debut in Thor: Love and Thunder. The character has been confirmed to appear in the fourth installment of the franchise. The role will be played by Christian Bale. Now there might be a direct link between Loki and the next Thor movie. Gorr travels across time to hunt down gods since they failed to protect his family and leads to a direct battle with Thor. Gorr can be perfect as a villain Loki. Since Loki is also equally powerful like Gorr, their face-off is something that will be loved by the audience.

2. Immortus

The series Loki is also revolved around time travel. Now one character that has links to time traveling in the comics is Immortus. The character is significant in the context of the series because he is a variant of another important character, Kang The Conqueror. Kang has created various alternate versions of himself throughout time. Among them, Immortus is just one. Immortus also worked on behalf of the Time Keepers for hunting down Nexus Beings like the Scarlet Witch. Now, this has a strong possibility to be shown on the MCU.

3. King Loki

The Villain of Loki Series

King Loki is a character that can be a perfect villain. It is a future version of Loki who assumed the throne in Asgard. King Loki is also trying to secure their future success by messing with the Sacred Timeline. There is also a possibility here that Richard E. Grant might be playing the role. But the news is not confirmed yet. It is also possible that Grant who resembles Hiddleston would play the older version of King Loki. It might end up being that he is the one behind everything in the end.

4. Enchantress

The Enchantress has been one of the most powerful magicians in Marvel Comics. The Enchantress is a blonde Asgardian with immense power and a strong connection to Loki. She has been the main villain of Thor since she first appeared in Journey Into Mystery #103 in April 1964. The Enchantress was co-created by a popular comic book duo of writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby. The character has not yet made her MCU debut. Her second version in the comics also received her powers directly from Loki. This has suggested a possible connection with the MCU.

5. Mephisto

The appearance of Mephisto has been teased several times in the MCU. Recently it was teased in Loki and before that, in WandaVision. The character might not have to do anything with Loki. But there is a possibility that he might appear since his portrait was seen in the first episode. But apart from Loki, more clues were provided in WandaVision. There is a possibility that if Mephisto appears in Loki, he might wreak havoc in Time Keepers and Loki might be asked to stop him.

6. Ravonna Renslayer

In the first episode of Loki, we got to see a large number of new characters. One of them was Ravonna Renslayer. She was the judge at the TVA. But if you have read the comics, you know well that there are two versions of Ravonna in the comics. Now there might be two versions in Loki. In the comics, the original Ravonna died and was murdered in front of her lover and it was none other than Kang The Conqueror. He then traveled in time to save her. Kang then created her alternate version that appeared in the comics for many years.

7. What If…? Loki

In the Disney+ series, Loki will visit a large number of alternate timelines. So for sure, Loki will also encounter his version at a point in time. One of them might be Big Bad. A certain version of the character trying to undo the Sacred Timeline might be the Loki from What If…? #47. This Loki also found Mjolnir before his brother Thor was worthy of it. If the Time-Keepers are preventing Loki from becoming his strong version, then he might be interested in creating enough chaos to let him rule.

8. Kid Loki

The Villain of Loki Series

Apart from others, another character that could be the villain in Loki can be Kid Loki. Kid Loki is a reincarnated version of the character. When Loki dies at the end of the Siege storyline, he comes back as a child. If you consider the streaming series, this is intriguing since Loki’s young version might not be permissible for the Time Keepers and might attempt to ensure his survival. This can also include a narrative wrinkle if the resurrection concept is brought into the MCU.

9. The Loki variant

There were many speculations and theories on who would be the cloaked figure from Loki. Most of the theories said that it might be Lady Loki or Kid Loki. It was finally revealed as Lady Loki in the second episode of the series. She is the main variation of the popular comic book character. She made her debut in Thor #5 in 2008. Here, Loki resurrected in a new body after his death in Ragnarok. The main difference here is that Lady Loki has dark hair in the comics and the series’ version has blonde. This shows that there might be a gap between the source material and the identity of the actual villain.

10. Kang The Conqueror

As mentioned earlier, we all saw Ravonna Renslayer in the first episode of Loki. Since Ravonna is there, Kang’s properly documented comic book aversion to anything that resembles a Sacred Timeline, Kang can be the main villain. Now Kang The Conqueror will appear in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. So his appearance is evident in Loki. Kang is also capable of taking on various guises through his different schemes in the comics. So, possibly Lady Loki might not be Lady Loki. She might be a version of Kang.

So one of these characters could be the villain of Loki series. Which of them would you like to see as the big bad?
