Ant-Man 3 Kang Ruler of Quantum Realm City:
Peyton Reed is currently working on the story of the third Ant-Man movie and we’ve got our very first major update for the film. Despite people believing that AIM and MODOK could be the major villains in Ant-Man 3, we’ve suddenly got an update stating that Jonathan Majors has been cast as Kang the Conqueror. Now where could Kang appear in the third Ant-Man and the Wasp movie? Well, the answer to this question is similar to every other answer related to Ant-Man and the Wasp. Obviously, Kang will appear through the Quantum Realm.
Now that 5 movies have featured the Quantum Realm, we believe that Ant-Man and the Wasp 3 will take us on a major ride through the Quantum Realm this time around. Even though the Quantum Realm has been featured so many times, it still feels like we’ve only seen the tip of the iceberg. But now, we’re going to take a deep dive into the Quantum Realm, which will not only lead us to Kang the Conqueror, but maybe even the Fantastic Four.
Since Kang is a time travelling villain who will possibly be built up to take on the Avengers in Avengers 5, he has to be tied to the Quantum Realm. In Avengers: Endgame, we saw that people can only travel through time using the Quantum Realm. If you’d remember, a huge deal was made out of the Quantum Realm city that showed up in the back of a scene in Ant-Man and the Wasp. On top of that, Janet Van Dyne talked about Civilizations existing within the Quantum Realm. So, Kang could be the ruler of the Quantum Realm city that was spotted in the Ant-Man sequel.
This city could be none other than Chronopolis, the advanced city ruled by Kang in the comics. It has to be that because time travel in the MCU is possible through the time vortexes, which exist within the Quantum Realm. So, by being the ruler of Chronopolis in the Quantum Realm, Kang could easily access the time vortexes whenever he feels like. Being in there, he could have been the one who helped Janet Van Dyne too. He could have even harbored 4 other individuals who may have arrived in the Quantum Realm much earlier than Janet. We’ll talk about them in the next article.
Initially, there was a theory that Doctor Doom may be the one residing in the Quantum Realm city, but Kang’s theory makes more sense. Doctor Doom could also be in there with him, but since Kang has been cast for Ant-Man and the Wasp 3, he has to be present in the Quantum Realm. So far, we had been thinking that MODOK was going to be the main villain of Ant-Man and the Wasp 3. But it will become really tough for Peyton Reed to convincingly toggle between MODOK and Kang, especially when the movie may also be giving us the set ups for the Young Avengers, the Fantastic Four and probably even Doctor Doom.
So many elements are in play, and they make the presence of MODOK very tough. His appearance will only be possible in two ways. Either Kang & MODOK would be working together from outside & inside the Quantum Realm, or MODOK will be the main villain while Kang will only be set up as the villain for Avengers 5. We’ll have to wait and see what the real deal is.
Till then, here’s the next slate of Phase 4 & 5.
