Falcon And The Winter Soldier Tv Series To Feature New Marvel Superhero’s MCU Debut
Disney+ is going all-in with its new Marvel Cinematic Universe themed TV Shows. The production for one of its most anticipated TV shows – Falcon and the Winter Soldier is going as planned and the fans have been recently made privy to some new information that could potentially change the very dynamics of the MCU. The TV Show will feature Sam Wilson aka the Falcon and Bucky Barnes aka the Winter Soldier/White Wolf as the titular characters and is touted to be an action-spy thriller. The two allies of Captain America will not be alone in this endeavor though. Joining them would be a popular legacy character from the annals of Captain America’s lore in Marvel Comics. What is even more interesting is that this new superhero could become the new replacement for Captain America – if all things go according to plan! Presenting – Falcon and the Winter Soldier TV Series to feature New Marvel Superhero’s MCU debut!!
A new set of Behind the Scenes Photos released by Murphy’s Multi-Verse reveals all new details about the show. Amongst the many photos available for fans to gaze upon, one of them catches our attention pretty obviously through a discreet but well-placed comic book reference. One of the pictures shows the name “Hoskin’s Family Flowers”. The name is seen on the side of a car as well as printed on a store window nearby. The name Hoskin’s Family Flowers is a reference to a classic Superhero from Marvel Comics’ Golden Ages.
The superhero we are talking about is called Battlestar aka Lemar Hoskins.
Lemar Hoskins was a patriot and a staunch believer in the American Dream. As an African-American, Hoskins had suffered much hardship in his early years due to being subject to racist hatred by other communities. But he overcame every difficulty and became part of the Super Soldier Program. John Walker, otherwise known as the superhero US Agent, was also part of the same program that gave him his powers. Hoskins became the second successful test subject to get out of the process with heightened abilities. He would later take the mantle of Bucky Barnes as the sidekick to US Agent, who had taken up the mantle of Captain America at the time. Hoskins would later let go of the mantle of Bucky and become the all new original Battlestar. As Battlestar, Hoskins fought alongside Marvel heavyweights like Captain America, the Falcon and the real Bucky Barnes.
While the debut of Battlestar has not been confirmed yet, it does open up a window of possibilities for Marvel to explore if they choose to. Battlestar would be a good replacement for the void left by the departure of Captain America from active super-heroics. We are not saying it is a definite match to replace Rogers with Hoskins, but it is a start nonetheless. We are looking forward to this comic book reference actually materializing into something more concrete. Battlestar, we will be waiting for you!!!
