When Will Smart Hulk Appear Next in the MCU?
Smart Hulk Appear Next in the MCU:
Marvel is expanding on a scale hitherto undreamt of. They’re as close to getting a full house of characters as they’d ever be. They just lost Spider-Man and that’s a big set back, but still, they’ve got access to all great characters. Hulk is a problem as far as solo films are concerned, but Marvel has solved that problem too. That brings us to the question of when we would be seeing Smart Hulk next.
Avengers Endgame changed Hulk forever. Well big changes came for every OG 6 Avenger. 2 of them are gone for good. 3 are on the verge of their exit (yes Thor may also die). That leaves us with just the Hulk. He is the only one that came out of the Avengers all powerful and will probably never die.
Hulk benefitted from the Five Year time jump probably the most as he was able to bring the best of both worlds, i.e. Smart Hulk. But by the time the film ended, he left with a permanently damaged arm and the loss of Tony Steve and Natasha. The world may be happy about the Hulk’s survival, but he may not be the happiest. So, what’s next for him? Is he going to appear in Thor: Love and Thunder?
The Thor movie may be quite full with Jane Foster also coming into the mix. Still, Taika could be very tempted to bring Smart Hulk back for the Revengers reunion. But that may or may not happen.
Mark Ruffalo and Kevin Feige would’ve definitely would have talked the plan for Hulk, and his next appearance may happen in She-Hulk. That’s the obvious choice left since Hulk is very important for the origin story of She-Hulk. Jennifer Walters, an accomplished lawyer gets into an accident and is in dire need of blood. As it turns out, only Bruce’s blood could save her. This blood transfusion is what turns her into She-Hulk.
Hulk cannot have a solo movie, but even with the supporting role, he could get plenty of screen time in the She-Hulk series. That would probably make up for his absence during Infinity War and Endgame.
Hulk may be the only OG that may continue in the MCU for a longer bit as compared to the others. It could be possible that this is his final appearance since every OG will be passing their mantle to someone else. Whether or not Hulk will be a part of Phase 5, Marvel will surely have to do something about Hulk’s fighting abilities.
We need Hulk to smash a few things like he means it. Moreover, Marvel should also continue with him because what the world needs to see is Wolverine take on the Hulk. Followed by that should be the World Breaker Hulk.
Hulk vs. the Red Hulk is another fight that we’ve always wanted to see but that will probably be fulfilled by this upcoming series. Marvel is probably cooking a Thunderbolts movie as well, and rumor has it that Red Hulk, Abomination and The Leader have to return. That could easily be built up by the She-Hulk series.
Let’s see what happens. Hulk should be a major part of the series but we’ll have to wait to know the extent of his involvement. Till then, here’s how the Phase 4 slate looks for now –
Black Widow on May 1, 2020, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier in Fall 2020, The Eternals on November 6, 2020, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings on February 12, 2021, WandaVision in Spring 2021, Loki in Spring 2021, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness on May 7, 2021, What If?
