Avengers: Endgame was full of moments that would have acted as major spoilers if found out early. Unfortunately, many people did find stuff out early as a 4-minute video from a particular screening was leaked right before the release of the film. But what’s interesting is that leaks actually surfaced upon the Internet even before the first trailer of the movie was actually released.
Back in November-December 2018, there were a lot of people who were posting fake descriptions and fake spoilers upon twitter and other social networking websites. As it turns out, one of the guys actually got a whole lot of info right in his tweets, and he surely did have some insider information. A twitter handle that goes by Roger Wardell gave out 10 tweets related to Avengers: Endgame spoilers and the MCU’s future.
While Avengers: Endgame is already out, we can actually confirm that every piece of info shared regarding the film was 90-100% correct. The user was right about Thor’s look and what he does to Thanos.
He was also right about the Hydra Operatives Brock Rumlow, Jack Rollins and Alexander Pierce making their way back into the MCU. And he even teased the Hail Hydra sequence of Captain America.
Other than this, Roger was also right about the fact that Avengers: Endgame will bring Edwin Jarvis from TV to the film, and where Stan Lee makes his cameo.
Well, all this comprised of Avengers: Endgame spoilers. Not many people really noticed these tweets back in December and that’s why most people still went into Avengers: Endgame knowing almost nothing more than the trailers have shown us. But what’s interesting is that this twitter user didn’t stop at just Endgame spoilers. He also gave out details of the future MCU plans and projects. Given that all of his Avengers 4 tweets were accurate, his Intel upon Marvel’s future plans should be credible as well. So let’s look into them:
Well, there was a lot of chatter about Black Knight making his MCU debut sooner rather than later. Reports even suggested that he could have a cameo in Avengers: Endgame. But that obviously did not come true. What’s interesting is that Avengers: Endgame did line up with another rumor. We saw Captain Britain being teased in the film, and a previous rumor suggested that Guy Ritchie could be helming a Black Knight & Captain Britain movie.
So it’d be interesting to see whether Black Knight gets a solo film/trilogy, or there would be films involving the both of them. Spider-Man: Far From Home takes us onto a Europe tour and at least Captain Britain could be introduced in that film since it will be the last Phase 3 film that will set up Phase 4. Let’s move on to the next tweet.
For those of you who don’t know, the Thunderbolts are the MCU’s Suicide Squad. But the fact that Red Skull and Abomination are still under MCU’s plans feels totally exciting. There’s still a mystery surrounding Ghost’s survival as we don’t know how she must have survived for 5 years while Scott was stuck into the Quantum Realm and his main purpose to enter the dimension was to get Quantum Energy to stabilize Ghost. Other than that, it would be fun to see Justin Hammer and Baron Zemo return. This team has to be led by General Ross’ Red Hulk!
Marvel’s movie quota is certainly getting filled as they’ve got Black Widow, The Eternals, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Doctor Strange 2, Black Panther 2, Captain Marvel 2, Ant-Man and the Wasp 3, Shang Chi, Black Knight & Captain Britain, and probably Thunderbolts. Apart from them, Thor 4, Young Avengers and A Force are films that have also been set up previously.
X-Men and Fantastic Four are available to Marvel so the likes of Power Pack and Ms. Marvel would surely be turned into TV shows for Disney+. We can expect Ms. Marvel to show up in Captain Marvel 2. These two shows will be joining Falcon & Winter Soldier, WandaVision, Loki, Lady Sif and Hawkeye on the streaming service.
The MCU’s future is going to be diverse and awesome!
