Avengers: Endgame is right around the corner and people are extremely excited to see the end of the MCU Phase 3. But surprisingly, that end won’t arrive until Spider-Man: Far From Home as Kevin Feige just confirmed that Endgame will not mark the end of Phase 3. This means that Far From Home isn’t the beginning we were assuming it to be.
So far, Sony has been pretty slow at marketing this film as we have only seen one trailer for the film. We were about to get a second one, but it didn’t come out as the trailer would have had spoilers for Endgame. So when Tom Holland was teasing a new trailer, he only gave us 3 new posters. Well, now we know that with Avengers: Endgame being so close to the release, a new trailer is right around the corner as well. We could either get it by the end of this week or in the next week because new stills from the movie have already made their way online.
Here are two new images that have been released:
We know that the first Europe destination that Spider-Man will visit is going to be Prague. There he will be wearing the Homecoming suit. The second country is going to be Italy, and that is where the Stealth Suit will come into play. The third country will be London, and the Red Black suit will be a part of a London sequence. So this image could either be in London, or in New York when Peter and his friends go back.
There were set photos of this similar moment from New York, so perhaps this scene could come in the final few moments of the film. Next up we have Nick Fury and Maria Hill along with Spidey who is wearing his Stealth suit:
This scene has to take place before or after the battle in Venice. This could very well be the time when Peter gets this suit from SHIELD or whoever Nick Fury is working for. It’d be interesting to see Nick Fury take up the mentorship role when Stark isn’t around. Along with these two images, we also got new Promo arts. Here’s the first one:
Nothing new in this as this is the same Red Black suit we’ve been seeing everywhere. This could very well be the final suit that Peter Parker gets to wear ever. But Marvel always finds a way to bring in new suits and by the time we arrive at Spider-Man 3, there could be a new one already. The next promo gives us another “best” look at Mysterio:
Jake Gyllenhaal is bringing life to a character we’ve never seen on the big screen. At CCXP, he weighed upon how his character gets recruited by Fury and what’s the tie up between them. He said:
“There are these threats to the world, the Elementals, elemental creatures. And Mysterio is someone who knows about them and wants to make sure that the world is safe from them. And Nick Fury asks him to come on and help because he’s the only one who really understands them. And then he teams up with the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man and unfortunately has to make him become more than a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.”
He also spoke about Mysterio with the Los Angeles Times, and he answered the question of why he took on this role in particular:
“It’s great. He’s a great character. It’s one of those things, people have asked me for a number of years, ‘You wanna do a movie like that? If you were asked to, would you?’ And my response has always been, particularly since being at Sundance, so many of the stories have always been, for many years since I’ve been coming here, character-driven, and that has always been my desire, is to find something in that space, that seems to match my skill and also my own honesty. And it just so happened that it does with that part, so I’m glad that people feel excited about it.”
Spider-Man: Far From Home comes out on July 5.
