Avengers: Endgame is the mega finale event that will tie most of the loose ends left by 21 movies prior to it. Since this is the big conclusion, many veteran characters are expected to return along with the main lead superheroes. Since Time Travel is going to be a major feat in the film, we could actually expect anyone to pop in, have a cameo or even a small arc in one faction.
Endgame will surely take us back to the events of the first Avengers, so we could expect Phil Coulson to be there. Applying this theory to some other big events of the MCU, we will probably see Quicksilver if the film goes back to Age of Ultron, Crossbones with Civil War, the snap victims with Infinity War or any film prior to it.
We weren’t shown the destruction of Xandar in Infinity War, and many plot leaks and rumors have confirmed that the movie will go back to the destruction of Xandar, as that is where Thanos obliterated the Nova Corps and got the Power Stone to begin things. Talking about the Nova Crops, they could possibly have a return in the film as well.
There are two ways in which the return of the Nova Crops could be seen in the film. Many set photos have shown Gamora and Nebula in their old outfit from the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie, so, there’s how we could see Nova Crops and even certain characters that died in the Guardians of the Galaxy. Speaking of them, Screen Rant, recently got to talking with Peter Serafinowicz, who appeared in the first Guardians movie as Denarian Garthan Saal.
SR asked whether he was returning in the film, and he totally dodged the question with a smart reply saying:
“I can’t say… I can neither confirm nor deny.”
So that’s the standard answer that most of the questionable Avengers: Endgame cast members would give us. But if he is in the film, then it would only be as a part of the time travel faction. Rest, Nova Crops could return pre decimation of at the time when Thanos attacked Xandar. With them, we could see the return of Nova Prime Irani Rael played by Glenn Close and Rhomann Dey played by John C. Reilly.
It’d be interesting to see who else makes their return in Endgame. Perhaps we could see the Warriors 3 and Lady Sif, if the films go back to any of the Thor movies. The Collector and The Grandmaster are expected to return. The only two dead characters that will probably not return are Heimdall and Yondu. But then again, if this film is going back to the events of Thor, then they can obviously pop into one of the scenes. The likes of Odin, Frigga, the Ancient One, and many others could be brought back in the same way.
