After that, almost all his movies bombed at the Global Box office. The critics hated him for what he is. The fans hated him for what he had become. And yet with John Wick, Reeves has managed to completely turn the tables. He is again known as an action movie icon, something he was in the early 200’s. He has regained back his former glory. With John Wick 3: Parabellum, he is ready to take his stature to even newer heights.

Keep in mind that Reeves is not trying to hold onto and milk a profitable franchise. He is not as young as he used to be. At his age, being an action movie icon takes a lot of discipline and training. On top of that, Reeves is already a successful businessman and a millionaire so he is definitely not doing it for the money. He is doing it for his fans. He is doing it because he is grateful for their support in all these years. In an interview with GQ, Reeves claims he has enjoyed playing the character and when asked whether he would like to continue playing John Wick, he says and we quote:

“As far as my legs can take me… as far as the audience wants to go.”

“I haven’t really thought about my career future, or what was going to happen, until really recently,” the actor who will play John Wick for the third time in John Wick: Parabellum explains.
