Avengers: Endgame – Guardians of the Galaxy May Have Hinted the Final Battle
Avengers: Endgame is yet to start its final marketing campaign, but before we get that, we have to survive upon Theories and certain leaks that come through merchandise or set images. Well, now a new theory has originated from what we have seen in a past movie, Guardians of the Galaxy, and this could actually be a thing.
Reddit user u/kushnation42 has pointed out a certain scene in Guardians Volume 1, and he proposes that the final battle of Avengers Endgame has been foreshadowed in that particular sequence. Here’s the moment the Redditor is talking about:
“When they (Guardians) bring the orb to the collector and he tells the first story of the infinity stones I believe we hear in the MCU. One key part is when he says something like ‘once a group of extraordinary beings managed to harness the power of the stones and shared the power amongst themselves briefly before they were destroyed’.”
Now, this scene as the redditor suggests could probably hold some key details about the final battle of Endgame. As mentioned above, a group once managed to harness the power of the stones and shared the power amongst themselves, so it is believed that since the number of Infinity Stones is 6, and the original Avengers are also 6, they will towards the final act of the movie harness the power of the Infinity Stones with each of the OGs getting one stone.
Now, this does sound wonky but it could end up happening because Kevin Feige recently spoke to Rotten Tomatoes, and he did talk about the fact that Avengers: Endgame will do justice to the original Avengers movie. He specifically mentioned that Endgame is more about the original 6 than anyone else.
This is the last time that the 6 will assemble on screen, them each of them getting a stone and using it against Thanos could give us a great and emotional climax. The technicalities of this scene have to be worked out by the movie creatives, but I’ m here to say that a moment like this could end up happening.
Perhaps this could be the key to reversing the snap. The snap reversal has to have some major stakes involved. The return of the dusted heroes must cost a whole lot to the survivors, and the Marvel‘s original 6 Avengers getting a stone each could provide those high stakes.
Perhaps this is too far of a stretch, but if not this exactly, then something related to this must happen in Endgame. The original 6 Avengers have to share a huge moment. The story of the Infinity War was designed to bring them together one last time, and that has to mean something. All of it has to end on a high note.
Let’s see what really happens. Directed by Joe & Anthony Russo, Avengers: Endgame will open on April 26, and it’ll presumably star Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jeremy Renner Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Danai Gurira, Peter Dinklage, Benedict Wong, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Gwyneth Paltrow, Benicio del Toro, Josh Brolin, Pom Klementieff, Karen Gillan, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Chris Pratt, Paul Rudd, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Tessa Thompson, Evangeline Lilly, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Cate Blanchett, Michelle Pfeiffer, Michael Douglas, Tilda Swinton, Jeff Goldblum, Katherine Langford, Stellan Skarsgard and Brie Larson.
Here’s the official synopsis:
“After the devastating events of Avengers: Infinity War (2018), the universe is in ruins due to the efforts of the Mad Titan, Thanos. With the help of remaining allies, the Avengers must assemble once more in order to undo Thanos’ actions and restore order to the universe once and for all, no matter what consequences may be in store.”
Do you think this theory has the potential to come true, or is it too far of a stretch? Tell us in the comments.
