Avatar 4 And 5 Might Not Happen Because of The Disney-Fox Deal

Avatar 4 and 5 might not happen ever as we all know that all the focus is on the deal between Fox and Disney. And other than that also, not all movie franchises are as safe as the franchises of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and one of them is the famous ‘Avatar’ series. There are fears circling around the future of Avatar 4 and 5 and it is not good.

The movie Avatar was a massive hit and I don’t think I have to say much about the movie as we all know how great this movie by James Cameron was. It has been 10 years since the first Avatar movie released and we all know that in all these years James Cameron was working on the second and third sequel of the movie. But the status of the fourth and fifth movie is in danger because the future of those movies depends on Disney.

Well, Fox isn’t going to give away Avatar this easily but there are a lot of things in the hands of Disney at the moment and if Fox will back down from bringing the last two sequels of the movie then Disney will. So, in the end, it is going to fall in the favor of James Cameron but everything depends on the success of the second and third part of this franchise and if things go well, then, there are chances that Disney will give a green light to James Cameron for more films under this franchise.

But, everything depends on the kind of success the upcoming movies of this franchise is going to have as we all know that the hype and popularity for this movie were quite huge. The first Avatar movie had the highest earning movie of all-time. The movie also has a lot of talented stars such as Zoe Saldana, CCH Pounder, David Thewlis, Cliff Curtis, Britain Dalton, Kate Winslet, Stephen Lang, Sigourney Weaver, Sam Worthington, and many others.

James Cameron talked about the challenges he and his team faced during the shooting of underwater scenes as it became quite difficult for them to handle the technological side of the movie and in an interview with Collider, he said,

“It’s never been done before”, Cameron stated to Collider and added, “and it’s very tricky because our motion capture system, like most motion capture systems, is what they call optical base, meaning that it uses markers that are photographed with hundreds of cameras. The problem with water is not the underwater part, but the interface between the air and the water, which forms a moving mirror. That moving mirror reflects all the dots and markers, and it creates a bunch of false markers. It’s a little bit like a fighter plane dumping a bunch of chaff to confuse the radar system of a missile. It creates thousands of false targets, so we’ve had to figure out how to get around that problem, which we did”.

“We actually played an entire scene underwater with our young cast. We’ve got six teenagers and one seven-year-old, and they’re all playing a scene underwater”.
