The Plot of the Movie
This movie is focussed on the life of two lifelong best friends (Robin Wright and Naomi Watts), each beginning a steamy affair with the other’s son, but trouble begins to brew when one of the two young men beguns to nurture feelings for a person his own age.

The Guardian‘s Damon Wise gave the film a positive review i.e 4 stars out of 5; the Metacritic blurb reads: “An incredibly provocative piece of work, featuring a brave and vulnerable performance by Naomi Watts (who seems perhaps a little too young) and a career-high acting masterclass from Robin Wright (who has been cast with perfection).
The houses and main beach scenes were both filmed at Seal Rocks, New South Wales, with some beach scenes being filmed at Sugarloaf Point Lighthouse beach. Scenes for where they worked in the movie were filmed at Shelly Beach, New South Wales whilst the pub scenes were filmed in Balmain, New South Wales. Some parts of the movie were also shot in Sydney.
