Yes, it’s true that the Bumblebee movie has been ‘Certified Fresh’ on Rotten Tomatoes and we have to say that it’s a really amazing start to the journey of this movie at the box-office. Surely, the makers of this film and the fans will be happy to see this score attached to this movie.
The people who don’t know what it means, it means that the movie has earned a score more than 75% on Tomatometer after the submission of more than 40 reviews and the movie has got a score of 93% which is really amazing as the time of the release is coming closer and closer.
We have to say that it is a really good start for this movie which we all know wants to kick-start the era of Transformers again. It is a prequel of the movie we saw back in 2007, Transformers. Also, as we all know that the fan-following of Bumblebee is really huge and having a movie centered around him is a long-awaited dream for many.
Well, the best part of this news is that Bumblebee movie is the only movie in the rich history of Transformers franchise to earn such accolades as all the rest of the five films of the franchise have been titled as ‘Rotten’ on the site. Notably, it was just the first Transformers movie which came back in 2007 which got a score of 57%.
After which the score seems to go down drastically as the movie Transformers: Dark of the Moon earned a score of only 35%. So, now we have to say that with time, technology, and getting rid of Michael Bay is finally paying off for this franchise. But, the fans of this franchise will be aware of the claims which critics have already made about this movie.
Many of the critics claimed that this is the best Transformers movie till this date and Travis Knight has seriously put the era of Michael Bay aside and what people are going to see in this movie is like a whole new world and also the way Bumblebee has been presented is incredible.
So all these positive claims from the critics, this high accolade of getting ‘Certified Fresh’ on Rotten Tomatoes haven’t surprised fans much because they knew and we all knew by seeing the trailer that this is something new and it deserves what it has go until now.
Also, the critics who have watched this movie have praised the director Travis Knight a lot and as we all know that Travis Knight is the name which has been linked with the movie Guardians of the Galaxy 3 after James Gunn has been fired by Marvel Studios.
But at this moment of time, the man is getting all the attention for his latest movie Bumblebee and the way he has introduced Transformers in the movie having one of the most beloved and popular Autobots of this franchise, Travis has simply set-up a new tone in the franchise.
Also, earlier this year Travis Knight had explained a lot of things during an interview as he threw light on the steps he took and also the way he chose in order to make this movie a success, keeping up with the expectations fans have with him as Michael Bay isn’t going to be there. He said,
“It wasn’t in any way addressing any feedback from the fans,” director Travis Knight explained in an interview. “It was just a story I wanted to tell. That last one [Transformers: The Last Knight] is one of the biggest movies I’ve ever seen and I couldn’t go bigger than that. So let’s go the other way, let’s focus in on a small corner of this canvas and really get to know one of these characters. Let’s balance the emotions with the explosions … The core relationship mattered to me more than anything else. And if that didn’t work, none of the other stuff matters. It’s just bombast. It’s just eye candy.”
