Every Snap Survivor That Did Not Show Up in The Avengers: Endgame Trailer
Avengers: Endgame trailer was very special as it literally had no downs apart from the fact that it did not give us a lot from the characters. But you can’t really Blame Marvel for this as they cannot give us stuff from 30 characters that are going to appear in the film.
But the reason why this was a great trailer was that without giving away even 1% of the plot, it ended up giving us so many hints of what is going to happen. Other than that, it referenced old MCU films and exclusively featured the original 6 Avengers.
Sure there were two other “to be” Avengers that ended up surviving the Decimation event as the trailer also brought up Nebula and Scott Lang, but rest none of the other Snap survivors showed up in the trailer. Here’s every individual that survived the Snap but did not feature in the Avengers: Endgame trailer:
1. Supporting Cast and the Minor characters
There are plenty of big name actors that are going to feature in the final Phase 3 film. Even apart from the Superheroes, there are so many other characters that are an important part of the franchise. Neither of those characters was featured in the trailer. To make things clearer, we are talking about characters like Aunt May, Happy Hogan, Pepper Potts, Queen Ramonda, Shuri, Everett K. Ross, The Grand Master, The Collector, and many others have been confirmed to have survived the Snap.
The Russos confirmed that Aunt May survived when they talked to The Huffington Post. While talking to Digital Spy, Jeff Goldblum mentioned the fact that The Grandmaster can’t be killed which tells us that he survived. Recently on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Benicio Del Toro also confirmed that the Collector is alive. Goldblum has previously confirmed that the two brothers are going to reunite as well.
Coming from a book written after Avengers: Infinity War featuring Dr. Erik Selvig, confirms that he and Jane Foster’s intern Darcy also survived. David Dastmalchian who plays Scott Lang’s buddy Kurt also confirmed that he survived. Angela Bassett denied the death of Queen Ramonda while she also said that Shuri survived, but the trailer seems to be putting her in the MIA section, so we cannot be sure.
2. Captain Marvel
Nick Fury called up Captain Marvel through his pager, and she is going to play a major role in the big crossover event, so we know for a fact that Captain Marvel survived the Snap. Just before the Avengers: Endgame trailer she appeared in her solo film trailer, so it is understandable for Marvel to not put her in the Endgame trailer which anyway did not give us a whole lot.
We don’t know her current whereabouts as she could be anywhere. People suspect that she might be in the Quantum Realm since the Captain Marvel film will also deal with that aspect, but the most likely location for her to be in is probably the Kree Planet Hala.
3. Rocket Raccoon
While Nebula got a glimpse in the Avengers: Endgame trailer, her other fellow Guardian who is the sole survivor amongst the Original Guardians of the Galaxy, Rocket did not show up anywhere during the trailer. He will have a similar role to what he did in Infinity War as he will probably accompany Thor yet again.
Set photos have shown Rocket’s silhouettes in the same place where we saw Thor meet up with Erik Selvig back in Age of Ultron. So we could figure that he has a crucial role in the film. Most of us are actually waiting to see the likes of Shuri and Tony Stark interact with him.
4. Shuri
Talking about Shuri, her location is yet unknown. While Angela Bassett claimed that Shuri survived the snap, the trailer showed her amongst the Missing people. She has been MIA ever since Corvus Glaive attacked her lab to get to Vision.
But since Bassett did say it with such surety that Shuri made it out alive, we can consider the fact that she could be hiding somewhere and her reveal may be one of the mysteries of the film. It could very well be possible that Shuri is alive and well and the trailer was just trying to play with our brains, but let’s see.
5. M’Baku
Since Shuri is claimed to be MIA, and T’Challa was confirmed to be disintegrated, M’Baku is the next contender to become the new King of Wakanda. We will probably see M’Baku as the new King of Wakanda as the people of Wakanda do not take a lot of time to choose their new King.
T’Challa’s combat ritual happened within days of King T’Chaka’s death, so don’t be surprised if you see M’Baku sitting on the throne right from the beginning of the next Avengers film. The creatives of the film would not want to reveal this just yet, so this is why M’Baku missed the trailer.
6. Okoye
Okoye made it clear that her loyalty lies to the throne of Wakanda. So she will probably be seen fulfilling her duties as the new King’s Royal Guard Leader. She will continue to lead the Dora Milaje, and defend Wakanda and its people from further threats. The Avengers clearly went back upstate to their facility, but the Wakanadans will stay put to serve whoever takes the Wakandan throne.
7. War Machine
Rhodey has always been the character of the sidelines, and his role in Avengers: Infinity War continued to be the same. He has had some bad-ass moments throughout his arc in the MCU, but never has he been made the center lead of the show. So, him not getting an appearance in the trailer was not a big deal. He will be supporting the Avengers in whatever they are going to do, so showing his sad face in the trailer would have made it a little too redundant.
8. Valkyrie
Now, this is a tricky one. It was confirmed by the MCU creatives that Valkyrie and Korg managed to escape with some of the Asgardians. They could be anywhere in space. They were on course to Earth so perhaps they might just arrive at the planet after the Decimation event having taken the slower route.
They could be hiding on the nearest habitable planet. Theories have predicted that they could also be in Alfheim, which is the only Realm yet to appear in the MCU films. The writers of the film confirmed that Valkyrie survived the snap but we should pray for Korg.
