Movie Remakes or Reboots Coming in 2019 –
We have seen a lot of great movies this year and a lot of biggies of this year are in line. But, when it’s about reboots or remakes, it’s not easy to bring audiences to the theatres because a lot of things about the movie is already out and it comes down to the presentation of the movie. But, it seems like we have a lot of things in front of us in the names of all these movies. So, pack your bags and simply see the list down below:
1. The Lion King (July 19, 2019)
We all are familiar with this one because the moment the first teaser of the movie released, the internet was trembling as fans were crying their hearts out with all the nostalgia in the universe falling on top of their heads.
The movie is going to feature stars like Chiwetel Ejiofor, Donald Grover, and Beyonce. The great news is that James Earl Jones is going to voice his character in the movie, Mufasa with Donald Grover also voicing for the character of Simba. Beyonce would be doing a voice over for the character Nala, among others.
2. Shaft (June 14, 2019)
We all know that Tim Story is one of the best directors we have in the industry and he is the one who is leading all the lines of this reboot of Shaft. The movie is going to feature stars like Samuel L. Jackson in the character of John Shaft II and Jessie T. Usher in the character of John Staff Jr. We all know a lot of things about these stars and don’t need any introduction as fans are really eager to see the kind of magic Tim Story is going to bring in this movie.
3. Pokemon: Detective Pikachu (May 10, 2019)
The best thing about this movie other than coming next year is that the voice of Pikachu is given by Ryan Reynolds. Also, the director of the movie is Rob Letterman and we simply can’t stop ourselves from having a lot of expectations from this movie. And Justice Smith will also play a vital role in the movie.
Also, we are going to see Dopinder who has been a very vital and popular character of Deadpool movie in this one. So, there are a lot of great things coming with this movie in front of us next year.
4. What Men Want (January 11, 2019)
The movie is a remake based on the successful movie of 2000, What Women Want, as the movie was a romantic comedy and the same we can expect with this one as we have Helen Hunt and Mel Gibson in the starring roles in the movie. Adam Shankman is the one who is the director of this movie and the movie is also going to have Taraji P. Henson in a vital role.
The movie is going to revolve around the gender inequality we often see in the world and in the workplaces. The movie is going to deal with the real issue under the shed of romance and comedy because the movie is going to show that Davis can hear the thoughts of men and is the reason why this movie is going to be an interesting one.
5. Dumbo (March 29, 2019)
We have seen this movie back in time under the name of Disney in a more colorful manner but this time we are going to see and relive the magic of this movie in a darker tone as the director of the movie Tim Burton is about to present the movie in such a manner.
The classic animated movie has been a very popular film among children and also in the hearts of elders but this movie is going to be a tough one for children maybe. But, there are reports that the characters we are going to see in the movie are quite similar to the animated ones.
6. Hellboy (April 12, 2019)
There are a lot of movies coming up but the hype of this movie is really high because it is none other than David Harbour who is going to play the role of Hellboy this time and we have to say after the release of his first look in the character of Hellboy, he looks exactly the same to the one we have seen in the comics in all these years.
The director of the movie is Neil Marshall and the responsibility of writing the script was in the hands of Andrew Cosby and Christopher Golden. Also, we are going to see Milla Jovovich in the movie, and stars like Ian McShane and Daniel Dae Kim also are in the movie.
7. Pet Sematary (April 5, 2019)
We all know about this one as the novel written by Stephen King was an award-winning one. The novel was adapted in a film back in 1989 but we all are going to see the improved and better version of this one next year as Kevin Kolsch and Dennis Widmyer are directing this movie.
Also, writers Jeff Buhler and David Kajganich are in there with a lot of great stars in the movie such as Jason Clarke, Amy Seimetz, John Lithgow, and many others. Paramount Pictures is really into this movie and is going to release the poster or trailer very soon.
8. Aladdin (May 24, 2019)
We all know the story of this one but it has been always about the manner and vision. This time also it seems like Disney is going to take us to a whole new world as the movie Aladdin had some difficult time casting the actors but after a lot of search and auditions, they came to the idea of recruiting Mena Massoud with Naomi Scott in the movie. Also, we have seen the first trailer of the movie and we have to say that the movie seems to be really interesting and great.
9. Jacob’s Ladder (February 1, 2019)
We all know that the original movie was a very frightening one and was based upon the theme and idea of post-traumatic disorder and Jeff Buhler and Sarah Throp are the ones who are writing the script for this one and the movie is directed by David M. Rosenthal. Now if we talk about the stars in the movie then we are going to have stars like Jesse Williams, Joseph Sikora, Karla Souza, Nicole Beharie, and Michael Ealy in the lead roles.
10. Men In Black (June 14, 2019)
We all know that Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson are going to be featuring in this movie and there is a lot of hype around this because of a rich legacy this movie has had in the history. The director of the movie is really talented and popular, F. Gary Gray and there are a lot of expectations because he has shown his excellence in a lot of movies.
There are a lot of other stars we are going to have in the movie as Liam Neeson, Emma Thompson, and Rebecca Ferguson all are in the movie. The movie is going to be really incredible and seeing Hemsworth other than in the role of Thor is going to be something really fresh and incredible.
11. The Addams Family (October 11, 2019)
The characters of this entertained all of us a lot in all these years and it was none other than MCM who announced the animated remake of this one is going to come and the men who are leading all the lines are none other than Greg Tiernan and Conrad Vernon.
We all know that Vernon is very good in movies like these because we have seen his work in the movie Shrek 2 and many more. Also, a lot of stars are in the movie for giving voices to a lot of people as we have Chloe Grace Moretz, Charlize Theron, Oscar Issac, Nick Kroll, and many more.
12. Masters Of The Universe (December 18, 2019)
There are a lot of fans of He-Man out there and they’re going to be delighted by this news that the movie is finally coming after all these years and there are reports that we are going to see the movie next year. Fans are really excited to see the adaptation of this famous Master of the Universe in front of them but there aren’t any reports of the casting of the movie but it has been stated that Adam Nee and Aaron Nee are the ones selected in order to direct this one.
13. Grudge (August 16, 2019)
We all know that Grudge is based on the famous and terrific Japanese horror movie, Ju-on: The Curse. But, it is none other than Sony who is getting into horror now with Nicolas Pesce on the director’s chair with Demian Bichir and Andrea Riseborough to star in this one. The reboot is going to be better than the Japanese one because when Sony is behind something, it is bound to be better.
14. Charlie’s Angels (November 1, 2019)
This movie is going to have Kristen Stewart and also the star who is going to make his way into the movie Aladdin, Naomi Scott. Also, Ella Balinska is the one who completes the trinity of this beautiful and deadly trinity. There are reports that it is based on the television series we saw back in the 70s and is also inspired by the films. Elizabeth is the one who is directing this one and chances are that she will be playing Bosley’s role.
15. Untitled Terminator Project (November 1, 2019)
There are reports that we are going to have the title of the movie soon as the fans are really looking forward to this one because as we all know that we are going to see Arnold Schwarzenegger in the movie, which is quite enough to raise the hype for any movie.
Also, we are going to have Linda Hamilton in the movie with Mackenzie Davis, Gabriel Luna, Natalie Reyes, and talented Diego Boneta in the cast list of this movie. The director of Deadpool movie Tim Miller is directing this one, which is one of the reasons why fans are waiting to see this one as well.
