Marvel Might Get The Rights of Spider-Man Back If Apple Purchases Sony Pictures

There are chances that we are going to see Apple purchasing Sony and Marvel getting the rights of Spider-Man back and it has been reported by none other than the holder of that famous crystal ball, Variety. As it has been suggested by Variety that there are chances Apple will purchase Sony in the year 2019.

Avengers: Endgame Tony Stark Audi

So, Variety is the one who has published a list of things which we can see happening in the year 2019 in the industry and world of Hollywood and with a lot of things such as Robert Downey Jr. Hanging the costume of Iron Man once and for all, Broadcast TV may ditch traditional commercials and many more.

But, one particular thing on the list of things which might happen in the year 2019 in Hollywood attracts the most of the attention and it is none other than the claim that there are chances that Apple may purchase Sony Pictures and if this happens then we have to say that a lot of things are going to change in the Hollywood.

The reason why this claim is in the list that Apple really wants to be in the front-runners of the biggies in the world as Netflix and Amazon are running the show in the world of streaming services and with Disney+ also making its way pretty soon. Apple kind of really fascinated with the project of putting their head into the industry.

Disney Fox Deal

Also, with the purchase of Sony Pictures the road can be really smooth for Apple as entering into the business of streaming work do ask a lot of questions and if Apple will have Sony Pictures with it then surely a lot of headache is going to burn down but the price in which that headache is going to disappear is quite huge and expected.

As we can see that the value of Sony Pictures is close to $1 trillion (I took a pause of 10 minutes) and I really don’t know how they’re going to turn this idea or desire into a deal. Well, I really don’t care because it’s a really massive amount of money but also seems to be quite hard to even digest.

Well, seeing the merger between Disney and Fox, we can expect this to happen but the effects of this deal are quite interesting as if Apple will purchase Sony Pictures then they’ll have the control of some really juicy and interesting IP which is not controlled by the biggie Disney which includes Breaking Bad, Jumanji, Men in Black, Breaking Bad, and maybe theoretically at least the friendly neighborhood, Spider-Man.

But, still, there’s one interesting part of this story as a tweet on the internet has revealed that if Apple goes on to purchase Sony Pictures then the clause which the contract of Spider-Man is having will bring back the character in the hands of Marvel. But, then comes the matter of distribution and also production rights, which we all know are separate things.

But, there are chances that we all will the see the end of this deal having Spider-Man’s production rights in the hands of Marvel again but they’ll have to put a Spider-Man solo movie under the banner of Apple Movies for sure.

But, right now we all don’t know what the situation is and what kind of contracts the deal is going to have as we all know that the Spider-Man is always a subject of debate and battle between Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios and now having Sony Pictures getting sold to Apple seems to generate all new kinds of confusion and menace.

Well, for now, the fans of Spider-man are going to see their beloved Spider-Man in the movie Avengers: Endgame and then he is the one who’ll kick-off the Phase 4 of the MCU with the movie Spider-Man: Far From Home. So, there is plenty of Spidey for us before any solid news about this deal in the market for us.
