Avengers: Endgame – Robert Downey Jr. Responds to NASA’s Strategy to Help Tony Stark

Marvel gave us the first Avengers: Endgame trailer this month and we could not have asked for more. The best part about the trailer was that it was edited really well. It did not allow for us to get any big plot points, while it let us come up with more and more theories of what was going to happen in the film. The trailer began with Tony Stark being adrift in space, and his rescue has become so important to people that even NASA has got involved with it. Now, Robert Downey Jr. has responded to their aid as well.

Avengers: Endgame Tony Stark

Iron Man is the biggest MCU character as the entire franchise is set up around him. He has been involved with almost every big event that took place in the MCU, and now Doctor Strange has saved him for the final one. Strange gave up the Mind Stone in order to protect Tony, so he has to be really important for the Endgame. But as the trailer showed us, he just may not be that effective in the plot after all!

Tony and (probably) Nebula are adrift on the Benatar having no resources and no hopes of survival left. The possibilities of his rescue are really thin, so everyone is trying to chip in upon how Tony could be rescued from space.

People tried to appeal to big guns like NASA and even Elon Musk to try to offer their help with Tony Stark’s Rescue. While we know that it is Pepper who will probably be the one to save Tony in her RESCUE armor, NASA still came to the aid by adding an input to how the Avengers could bring Tony back.

Looking at that, Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr. has finally replied, and it seems that he is happy for the support that he’s getting. Have a look:

This is the awesomeness of Marvel. Their movies aren’t just a fun time for people to enjoy as whenever an MCU film hits the theatres, people rejoice it and celebrate it like a festival. Avengers: Endgame is going to be the biggest festival in 2019, and people just can’t wait for it. The film may bring us a lot of sorrowful moments with the likes of Tony Stark, Steve Rogers and probably Thor leaving the franchise, but their exits are going to happen on a very high note.

The moment Thanos stabbed Tony in Infinity War, the hearts of every Marvel fan were in their mouths. Time stopped for those 3-4 seconds and nothing else really mattered as we thought that Tony wasn’t going to make it to the next film. But he did, and now he needs saving yet again. So it’ll be interesting to see how his Rescue is carried out.

Perhaps the next trailer(s) could give us more hints upon that. It really has to be something very unpredictable. Talking about that, here’s what the writers of the film had to say about the unexpectedness of the film:

“Christopher Markus – [Avengers 4] doesn’t do what you think it does. It is a different movie than you think it is…Also…[the deaths are] real. I just want to tell you it’s real, and the sooner you accept that, the sooner you will be able to move on to the next stage of grief.

Stephen McFeely – Put it this way, I think [Infinity War] is a fairly mature movie for a blockbuster. It’s got a lot of fun in it, obviously, but boy, it gets very mature. The second one is also mature. We’re going to own these choices, and hopefully surprise and delight you and get you invested. It’s by the same studio, the same filmmaking team. They were written at the same time, shot at the same time. They’re clearly connected, but they are definitely two different movies, one of which is dependent on what happened previous.”
