Marvel Fan Notices Civil War Detail Predicting Massive Infinity War Twist
Avengers: Infinity War ended in a snap. The heroes were defeated and the Mad Titan won the battle. Several of the Marvel superheroes fell. Half of the universe became lifeless. And the best part was that no one saw it coming. The way everything added up, in the end, to eventually make Thanos, who was almost defeated, the victor was something straight out of a horror movie.
We watched as our favourite heroes writhed and looked in shock as their bodies turned to dust. Turns out, this cliffhanger of an ending was already hinted in Captain America: Civil War and all thanks to this diehard fan, we now know about it too. Presenting – Marvel Fan notices Civil War detail predicting massive Infinity War twist!!
In Captain America: Civil War, the heroes under the leadership of Tony Stark and the heroes under the leadership of Captain America duke it out over the difference in ideologies regarding the controversial Sokovia Accords. General “Thunderbolt” Ross is seen in the movie briefing the Avengers (before they were broken down into Team Stark and Team Cap) about the Sokovia Accords at the headquarters. The order in which the superheroes sit around the table in that scene is actually hinting at each hero’s death in the Infinity War movie.
Lou Mongello writes this on his official tweet:
“Watching Captain America: Civil War today and I noticed this,” says Lou Mongello in his tweet. “Those on the left of the table survive the Thanos ‘snap’ in Infinity War… those on the right do not. And the only one not in the battle of Wakanda, Tony, is sitting away from the table. Well played, Russo Brothers.”
The picture above shows Rhodey aka War Machine, Iron Man, Captain America, and Black Widow on one side and Vision, Scarlet Witch and Sam Wilson aka the Falcon on the other. As we know, the heroes who died are all sitting on the right side while the heroes on the left side were spared being turned to dust by Thanos. One other interesting fact is that Tony is not even sitting around the table but away from it.
This relates to his part in Infinity War where he travels to space along with Doctor Strange and Spider-Man to stop Thanos on his homeworld of Titan. This is some next level foreshadowing if you ask us. Got to hand it to Marvel, they did play their cards really, really well on this one.
Was it a coincidence? Or was it intentionally set up that way? The Russo Brothers were involved heavily in Captain America: Civil War and they were the Directors of Infinity War. So to be frank, it is most probably not a coincidence. The chances of it being one is infinitesimally small as the Russos were played a part in both the movies and are already well known for their foreshadowing techniques in other Marvel Cinematic Universe movies.
Things like these really make my day. Fun Fact – how could we have all missed this!!!!
Captain America: Civil War has already witnessed its DVD and Blu-Ray release. The official film synopsis for the movie reads:
Political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability when the actions of the Avengers lead to collateral damage. The new status quo deeply divides members of the team. Captain America (Chris Evans) believes superheroes should remain free to defend humanity without government interference. Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) sharply disagrees and supports oversight. As the debate escalates into an all-out feud, Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) must pick a side.
The last Avengers movie to be released under the MCU banner was Avengers: Infinity War. The official film synopsis for the movie reads:
Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk and the rest of the Avengers unite to battle their most powerful enemy yet — the evil Thanos. On a mission to collect all six Infinity Stones, Thanos plans to use the artefacts to inflict his twisted will on reality. The fate of the planet and existence itself has never been more uncertain as everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment.
