It’s official that a major Doctor Strange movie character is in Avengers: Endgame. Well, I want to clarify that this is not like those false articles and neither I’m going to say that Doctor Strange is returning nor Ancient one as we all know that these two are in already the movie.
But, there’s another character whom we all loved and thought of missing a lot as there were no solid reports about it’s incoming in the movie Avengers: Endgame but it seems like he’s going to be in the movie finally and I’m sure you’ll be glad too.
There will be some of you out there who have guessed it already and if you’re guessing the name of ‘Wong’ which was portrayed by Benedict Wong then you’re absolutely right because, in a recent interview, the man himself confirmed said that he is going to be in the movie Avengers: Endgame.
We all know that he is quite cute and powerful and having him alongside Doctor Strange again will surely come as a boost for Doctor Strange as he is one of his partners in crime through magic. He was in a sort of lesser role in the movie Infinity War but with a return maybe he’ll have a bigger role now.
In an interview with Collider, Benedict Wong expressed his thoughts as he was one of the many characters whose future in the movie Avengers: Endgame wasn’t quite clear and there was a lot of confusion around it but by the words of the actor we can see that he is very happy to be back as he stated,
“Yeah, there was a time when I was doing Avengers 4, Normally it would be a logistical nightmare with the hair and negotiating that, but it’s great. I’m grateful to be on a double Russo Brothers production. It was streamlined.”
“Yeah, it did [help that the Russos were involved with both projects],” Wong added. “They made a very expensive silicon wing that they glued on because they wanted to keep me with hair more for Lin.”
Also, the co-director of the movie Joe Russo expressed his views on the movie Avengers: Endgame and it seems like they’re warning and exciting us at the same time by the prospect of Endgame movie as things are going to be quite incredible. He said,
“Whether we top Infinity War or not, I don’t know,” Joe Russo explained in a recent interview. “But we try to tell the best story we can with these characters. This is bringing to a close the first decade of stories. I think that alone has a dramatic power to it.”
“I don’t think there are any comics that correlate to it,” Joe Russo told ComicBook.com earlier this year. “I think we’re in [a] pretty fresh territory with [Avengers: Endgame]. If anything, I think it’s interesting after to go back and look at some of the Marvel films and view them through a different lens. But I can’t think of any comics, in particular, that would have value.”
“Our job as we said a million times is to tell the story of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, not to do direct adaptations of the comics because we’re comic book fans,” Russo added. “I have no interest as a director in telling a story that’s already been told or in seeing one that’s already been told. If I know all the events story as they’re going to happen then what’s the point of going to the film? We want to keep surprising audiences and continue the story that started with Iron Man One a decade ago.”
