Avengers: Endgame Theory – It is Bill Foster Who Rescues Scott from the Quantum Realm

Again with the lack of any more good news updates upon the upcoming finale, we’ve come up with another Avengers: Endgame theory that gives us a very believable exit for Scott Lang from the Quantum Realm. While we’ve talked about the fact that Lang would probably get stuck in a time vortex which will spit him out in the future or in some cases, in 1983. Even Director Peyton Reed has hinted upon the time vortex theory, but could there possibly be another way for Scott to exit the Quantum Realm?

Time Travel has been hinted by the set photos and even the Avengers: Endgame trailer, but none of the creatives of the film have come out and outright confirmed that time travel will be the key to everything in the upcoming mega-crossover. So could the final moment of the trailer where Scott Lang arrives at the Avengers facility be a decoy? Here’s a theory given by Reddit user CreamSodaCadet that could prove this:

“As I’m sure pretty much this entire subs knows by now, Ant-Man will return from the quantum realm as per the Endgame trailer. I’ve seen suggestions that Ms. Marvel will get him back, the possibilities of time vortexes sending him to the past and lots more. One character that I haven’t seen mentioned though is former Goliath, Bill Foster.

I rewatched Ant-Man and the Wasp last night and I was reminded that Bill Foster, a former associate of SHIELD, who worked with Hank Pym on quantum sciences, was present when they brought Janet back from the quantum realm, and was committed to helping Ava solve her phasing.

Has there been a mention of himself and Ava surviving the snap? The reason I ask is because Ava was supposed to be at least aware that Hank, Janet, Hope and Scott were planning to extract quantum energy to help in her healing process, as is mentioned in the Ant-Man after credits scene.”

The redditor does raise a valid point here. We cannot just believe that Ava, whose state is still deteriorating rapidly would show up 4-5 years later in Ant-Man 3 and get her problems solved. Her issues are much more immediate and require quick redressal. So, here’s how the theory continues and brings Bill Foster, and possibly Ava into the mix, by telling us whether they survived the snap or not.

“So my theory is this, failing to hear from his associates, Bill Foster who is still helping Ava, finds the van on the Pym building and makes the trip to the Quantum Realm himself to rescue Scott?

The Marvel trickery card could be played here and the scene in the trailer where Scott appears at the Avengers facility could have been edited to not show Bill? Just a thought I had and I suppose I enjoy diving into the theories here on this sub.”

This could be a thing, but Time Travel has been hinted on such a grand scale that we just can’t back out of it. The trailer more or less confirmed it along with a minimal time jump but Marvel has been known to be an even bigger trickster than the God of Mischief, so could this be one of their large scale trickeries in order to derail us from the right path? We can trust them to make an incredibly awesome movie, but we just can’t trust anything they say before the film comes out. Last I saw, for the last 6 and a half months, Endgame was not the title of Avengers 4.

Kevin Feige himself teased the fact earlier this year that there are larger plans for Ghost in the MCU, so Ava and Bill Foster could show up in Avengers: Endgame? Here’s what he said:

“In this case, the story was always – spoiler! – to keep her around. This was not the story of defeating a villain and everybody cheering. This is a different kind of villain story. When and where… is something we’ll see… So with Ghost it is, step one: complete. As for step two, we’ll see where we go with that.”

Avengers: Endgame is already stuffed with characters, but I guess there are two more coming into the mix. The film comes out on April 26.
