Cancelling Daredevil Season 4 came as the biggest shock to many fans as it was the biggest show in the list of canceled series by Netflix this year and it seems like Marvel and Netflix are turning up to be the new rivals of the industry.
But, according to recent reports, there are chances that maybe we can have Matt Murdock aka Daredevil in a Black Widow movie with which he can enter into the MCU. But, could Murdock live on in the movie of Black Widow?
Of course, there will be many fans out there who’ll be happy with the view of having Daredevil and Black Widow in a single frame because it’ll surely open gates for this character to be in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and we all know that after seeing how tremendously Charlie Cox has portrayed the role of a blind lawyer who turned up into a vigilante, fans loved this character a lot and really think that this is the time when they should get him on the big screen.
We all know that Black Widow is a partner of Murdock in the comics and also been a lover of Murdock and there are chances that we will see him in the movie of Black Widow because as we all know that the solo film of Black Widow is going to showcase the past and origin events of the character. As we all know that according to the recent statements it has been suggested that Marvel Studios have some really big plans for Daredevil.
The statement which has been released by Netflix in context of the cancellation of Daredevil is stated here:
“Marvel’s Daredevil will not return for a fourth season on Netflix. We are tremendously proud of the show’s last and final season and although it’s painful for the fans, we feel it best to close this chapter on a high note. We’re thankful to our partners at Marvel, showrunner Erik Oleson, the show’s writers, stellar crew and an incredible cast including Charlie Cox as Daredevil himself, and we’re grateful to the fans who have supported the show over the years. While the series on Netflix has ended, the three existing seasons will remain on the service for years to come, while the Daredevil character will live on in future projects for Marvel.”
So, as per Netflix’s statement, there are chances that Marvel is going to take the character forward and by taking the character forward, we all know that either they’re thinking of bringing it on the streaming service of Disney, Disney + or they’re thinking of introducing the character in the movie of Black Widow which is going to come soon.
Also, if we go by the comments of the actor Charlie Cox, on the topic of bringing him in a kind of a team-up with Black Widow. Then, the actor has stated,
“Would be cool. But the thing is, I can’t speculate. Because when I speculate, someone then changes that into ‘oh, this is happening. Why are you telling people this? But you know, there are some pretty cool, iconic characters from the DD world that I’m hoping are gonna show up at some point, you know if we continue to do the show. Yeah, we’ll see!”
Also, there have been suggestions from Kevin Feige back in 2016 that Marvel Studios is really open about the idea of bringing TV characters in the movies as, in the end, it all comes down to the timing of the timeline in which the movies are going on.
But, there have been suggestions from Stephen McFeely that the introduction of Daredevil in the movie would be asking a lot from the viewers. He said,
“We’re trying to honor the MCU movies and if we then further tell the audience, ‘Oh, you should also have a good knowledge from this streaming service over here that you may or may not be subscribing to,’ that’s really asking a lot,” McFeely explained to Collider. “We’re already asking a lot.”
