Avengers: Endgame Theory – No One But Time Stone Will Save Tony Stark

Avengers: Endgame Theory –

According to a new theory by u/Thracius_Augustus on the subreddit r/Fantheories:-

The events of Infinity War shook the world of Marvel Cinematic Universe to its very core. We saw Thanos enter the realm of our world and then witnessed as he systematically dismembered and destroyed each and every one of our so-called heroes on a whim. His idea was that life needed correction and he was the only with a strong enough will to force life to correct itself.

The idea of ‘correction’ of rampancy of life is one that allures the masses, even here in the real world (as witnessed by the existence of the massive subreddit r/Thanosdidnothingwrong), and hence we see Thanos really such a massive force of both outriders and the menacing Black Order themselves against the might of Avengers.

The earth’s mightiest heroes fight their best but in the futile effort because when the fight tended in Infinity War all that was left was death and desolation. Thanos came, Thanos saw, Thanos Conquered. All of our efforts were futile against the power of the Mad-Titan and his bellowing might of the infinity stones and the Infinity Gauntlet itself. One Avenger was particularly hard struck by the actions of the tyrant of the dark quadrant.

Yes, true believers, I am talking about the one and only Tony Stark aka Iron Man. The man lost more than just his ultra-advanced futuristic toys. He also lost comrades (some that he knows about and some that he will find out about if he ever makes it back to earth). Iron Man also lost his protégé vis-à-vis, Peter Parker of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as played by Tom Holland.

All of these losses are enough to crush a man’s soul, not just his spirit and yet the fandom wants Iron Man to rise once again, come Avengers: Endgame. The saddest part of it all is that Tony Stark is now stranded in space with a half working spaceship and virtually no backup. As the new Avengers: Endgame trailer made it a point to showcase the utter helplessness of Tony Stark as he tries to make his way back to earth.

In what presumably are his last moments adrift in space tony decides to record a message for the only person he loves vis-à-vis Pepper Potts. This message is both heartfelt and endearing and more than anything else has a ring of finality to it.

After the release of the trailer, the internet fandom went into a frantic frenzy theorising how Tony Stark could escape and who could possibly rescue him from the deep clutches of space. Many fans argued that tony will be rescued by either the ravagers or by the newly anointed King of Gods, the God of Thunder Thor himself with his biforst summoning Stormbreaker.

But most of the fans are in agreement that there is a high chance that the one to save Tony from dying in space may very well be Captain Marvel herself. But what if I told you that according to Reddit, Tony has something completely different up his sleeve.

Avengers 4: How Tony escapes. from FanTheories

You see as per a theory (as reproduced below) it is theorised by the fandom that when Strange handed over the time stone to Thanos, he pulled it from the future. This theory further theorises that Dr. Strange sent his own time stone to a different point in time so as to act as a weapon for the Avengers. It seems like this present theory is an expansion on the same.

The idea being that when Strange pulled the time stone from thin air, he sent the one he had to Tony Stark stranded in space. But the stone arrived just before Stark was about to lose all hope. It seems that the suggestion is that Dr. Strange had to be absolutely sure that no one could trace the movement of the stone so that Stark would be able to use it to its complete potential, to both, escape and then use it against the Mad Titan himself.

Do you think this theory holds any legitimacy over the already saturated storyline of Avengers: Endgame? It certainly seems plausible. Be sure to tell us your opinion down in the comments below.
