There are chances that the tease is really going to be the next reality as John Diggle has been shown as the Green Lantern. Fans who have seen the Elseworlds are hoping to get the answer to a question which they have been asking for a long time.
We all know that John Diggle is one of the most trusted, faithful, and also the former bodyguard of none other than Oliver Queen and there are chances that we are going to see him as the Green Lantern but not in the reality in which Arrow is going on, maybe in the future.
Well, there are a lot of fans who weren’t able to understand the tease in the CW’s Arrowverse and for them, we are going to break down the things as the fans who have seen it are really happy and also the fans of Green Lantern are amazed by this because they all wanted this superhero for a very long time.
Well, the tease was a really quick one and only fans with eagle eyes could see it. The tease came far earlier than the show even kick-started as in the teaser we can see that Barry Allen from the original TV show ‘Flash’ is beaten and bruised, as the world of Barry has been destroyed by none other than ‘The Monitor’.
John Wesley Shipp who has portrayed the character of classic Flash is the one who makes his return in the show Arrow right at the end in order to warn all the superheroes about the upcoming danger which is on their way. Also, he explained that he is the Barry Allen of his earth and not what they’re assuming. But, the show keeps on moving from there.
But, there was a wink which is impossible to miss as the fans who have been there right from the starting of Arrow and Flash will know that a lot of hints have been put on the table about the incoming of Green Lantern into the Arrowverse.
Well, far earlier than the hints about Hal Jordan, it is the military record of John Diggle which caught the eyes of a lot of fans out there and also the inherent heroism with the barrier of not getting involved in a fight is the reason why he was drawn closer and closer to John Stewart.
Back in 2015, when John was asked what are the similarities, he went quite far as he disclosed that there are talks about John Diggle Stewart in the role of Green Lantern in The CW’s. But, this was way before Diggle even received an identity of his own and was a ‘Spartan’ and when Warner Bros. had just started forming plans of a Green Lantern Corps film.
But, since that time the makers of the show have pulled the expectations of fans down and also suggested clearly that Green Lantern isn’t going to make his way into the Arrowverse and the reasons are in great numbers. So, there’s nothing much to say but the fans should watch this latest throwaway part in the Elseworlds.
But, as we all know that John Diggle is the one who has fulfilled his dream of wearing the ring of the Green Lantern and we all are impressed with this but we also know that in Earth-1 he is still a military man who is fighting criminals. But above all, there are chances that the John Diggle of Earth-90 has a ring in his fingers which is really cool and keeping it is a proud thing for him.
Well, there are a lot of things in it and the best way is to see the things through your eyes. Arrow is going to return in front of you in season 7 which is going to come on January 21, 2019.
