Some of the analysts are projecting Aquaman to have an opening of around $120 million during the Christmas holiday and we have to say that the predictions are quite reasonable seeing the on-going run of the movie in different parts of the world.

The news broke from the shores of Deadline that James Wan’s superhero Aquaman is maintaining a really good run at the box-office and the reason behind the potential massive opening for the film is that the movie is breaking a lot of records already in the market.

Now, as we all know that the five-day holiday weekend is on its way and with Aquaman already in full pace and action, there aren’t a lot of loopholes in this claim that the movie is going to have an opening close to $120 million and the chances of this are really high.

Also, there are suggestions that the movie is going to have a 3-day collection close to the mark of $70 million, and if this is going to happen, the movie is going to be shy of an amount of $24 million which has been earned by Justice League. The staggering part of Aquaman’s success is that the movie hasn’t released in the domestic market yet and there are suggestions that the movie is going to collect $300 million from overseas before the release of the movie in the domestic market on Friday. “It was very important for me early on to be allowed to make my own film and to have my own voice be in there,” Wan said. “After Furious 7 and Conjuring 2, I didn’t want to be a director for hire. After Furious 7, that’s kind of who I was to some degree, but after that, I don’t want to be that guy again. So, it was very important for me to be able to bring my own stamp, my own visual aesthetic, create the characters. Even though Jason has somewhat been established Justice League, I wanted to bring his character into this, basically, fresh in a lot of ways.
