It’s really hard to find any kind of loopholes in the work of Marvel Studios as MCU has been tremendously drilled and made with such brilliance by some of the most famous and talented people in the studios. But, recently a fan on the internet pointed towards the age of Star Lord’s mother Meredith Quill in the MCU timeline as the fan has joined two pictures which are raising a lot of great questions on the brilliance of the makers.
Reddit was the place where this fan noticed that Laura Haddock who portrayed the role of Meredith Quill has appeared in the movies Captain America: The First Avenger and then straight into the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. So, the contrast we have seen and realized by having a look on both pictures is we that in her appearance in the movie Captain America: The First Avenger which was set in the years the 1940s and we all know that the romance we saw between her and Peter’s father was seen in 1980. which makes things a little complicated as it seems like she doesn’t age despite all these years. We all know that this is not the first time we are hearing some queries from fans about ‘Meredith’s age in the MCU’ as some months ago there was a fan who asked the same question and also asked to the director of the film, James Gunn who has been fired from the seat of directing Guardians of Galaxy Vol. 3 because of the famous controversy he had on the internet.
At that time, James Gunn replied in a very weird but practically possible way that the lady fan we saw in the Captain America was not Meredith but was Peter Quill’s Grandmother and then the one we saw in the Guardians of the Galaxy was the mother of Peter Quill. Well, we can say that this can be possible despite both the roles getting portrayed by Laura Haddock.
If this is not the case then there are chances that we will see some kind of time travel in the upcoming movie Avengers 4 and there are also chances that they’ll introduce the factor of multiple realities in the MCU.
And if this becomes the case then there will be a lot of different possibilities in the MCU and will help them in answering all the questions. As we all know that the biggest possibility is that the makers at the Marvel Studios will come up with the idea that all superheroes who turned up into dust will return back on the big screen again.
So, a lot of things are on the line with the release of Avengers 4 as there are a lot of factors which has been predicted by the fans across the globe and also a lot o great fan theories are in the market.
But, we all have to wait until the release of any teaser or trailer of the movie in order to think and predict something really serious about the things we are going to see in the movie. So, there’s nothing very much in the character of Peter Quill’s mother and the makers of the movie aren’t going to be bothered by this.
There are also a lot of chances that we will some very old faces again in the Avengers 4 because of the claims recently made by the makers of the film as there are very strong and almost done reports that we are going to see the Ancient One of Doctor Strange movie and also the Crossbones.
The actor who portrayed the role of Crossbones was Frank Grillo and we all know that he was very blunt and open when he stated that he is going to be the part of movie Avengers 4 as he stated,
“He [Crossbones] makes an appearance in the next Avengers movie. But it’s a flashback… Yeah and I’m allowed to say whatever I want because I’m never doing another Marvel movie,” Grillo explained this on the UFC Unfiltered podcast with host Jim Norton. When Norton asked why he wasn’t going to appear in a future film, Grillo gave a very funny & blunt response to that by saying, “Because I’m 117 years old.”
