There are a lot of things to get excited about after seeing the trailer of X-Men: Dark Phoenix as Jean Grey is all set to introduce the character of Dark Phoenix to the whole world. As we all know that there were a lot of amazing things in the trailer of Dark Phoenix and fans with eagle-eyes and a brilliant brain always come up with a lot of theories. So, there are a lot of theories right now in the market and we really hope that these 10 theories didn’t make it to the final as a lot is on the line and can hurt the feelings of a lot of fans. Thus, without making you feel restless, Here we are going to discuss those 10 X-Men: Dark Phoenix theories which we don’t want to see in future.
1. JEAN GREY KILLS EVERYONE
As we all know that this movie will end the X-Men franchise forever and with this thing in context it’s imminent that all the stories of the past and present are going to have an end in this movie. On the other side, we have Jean Grey who is an incredible mutant and her alter-ego, Dark Phoenix is capable of destroying an entire solar system. So with a powerful mutant like her on the opposite side of whole X-Men team, we still think that she can easily kill them all and there’s nothing better to be killed by one of your friend rather than an enemy. But, we really hope this doesn’t happen.
2. WHOSE FUNERAL WAS THAT IN THE TRAILER?
There are many fans out there that are in love with Jennifer Lawrence and really want to see the actress in the role of Mystique even after this movie. But, we’ve seen some shots of a funeral in the trailer and there were also reports in the market that Mystique is going to be killed off by the hands of Dark Phoenix. It’s really painful to hear and hard to imagine how we will react to see that scene if this theory is going to happen in reality.
3. IT’S THE LAST…THE END
A lot of rumors and reports are there in the market that this is going to be the last movie of X-Men franchise but somewhere in-between these, there are also reports that Fox has sold the rights of X-Men to Disney and now it’s not really sure how long Disney will take to come up with an X-Men movie because Disney is enjoying pretty well with Avengers and other things.
Many people in the world are predicting that Fox is going to put X-Men down in the shelf for a long time and will use them after a long time. Also, the theory suggests that the reshoots which were going on after the whole shooting was a result of this and were the scenes which will make us see the end of X-Men and maybe after some long years we will see fresh faces with a fresh start and a bigger hype.
4. ONE OF THE BIGGEST VILLAINS COULD FALL
Magneto is regarded as one of the most powerful mutants in the X-Men universe and with his ever-changing change of heart from being a rival to a team member. He has been one of the most influential and important characters of X-Men. But it seems like he’s going to be killed-off by Dark Phoenix in order to help his friend Charles again to stop Dark Phoenix and will engrave his status on the side of X-Men.
In the trailer also we’ve seen Magneto in a really bad shape and beaten by someone so badly and as far as I’m concerned I don’t think we have anyone instead of Dark Phoenix who can damage Magneto to this extent. Reports suggest that the funeral we’ve seen in the trailer is of Magneto.
5. A SEQUEL TO ‘X-MEN: THE LAST STAND
This movie is regarded as one of the most disappointing one in context of handling different storylines as the team in charge of this movie couldn’t able to control all the strings attached to this particular movie and in the end, all things got tangled in a huge mess. Again, it’s the Dark Phoenix who is the center of all things and again we’re going to see the whole team of X-Men on one side and Dark Phoenix on the other and we really hope they’ll not repeat the way they presented the end in the movie X-Men: The Last Stand.
6. THEY’LL RUIN THE MOVIE, IF THEY’LL COME
We all know that in Comics there’s a big connection between Dark Phoenix and Skrulls. So, a lot of theories are running on the internet right now suggesting that Jessica Chastain is going to play the role of a Skrull and will manipulate Dark Phoenix in order to destroy the whole planet. But, the bigger threat than this is their appearance as we all know that they can possibly diminish the realism of the movie with their appearance in that green color.
7. THERE WILL BE NO CLAWS
There are reports that Logan isn’t going to appear in this one despite this movie being the last movie of X-Men franchise. It’s strange not to have Logan who is one of the most popular and almost the biggest mutant of X-Men franchise. But, still we just don’t want this thing to happen because of all the emotions, sentiments, and above all the memories we all have built together with X-Men having Logan in the center of it. We hope we will able to see a little cameo of him at the end of the movie.
8. PLEASE DON’T FOLLOW THAT DISASTER
We all know what a disastrous movie X-Men: Apocalypse was after seeing the end of the movie with all mutants single-handedly beaten by the Apocalypse and then Jean Grey unleashing the Phoenix power to destroy the villain in a spin of a second. But, are we going to see the same movie again as Jena Grey is going to fight all the mutants and will we see her going to destroy herself or anyone unleash a power greater than her powers. But, we don’t want to see a sequel of Apocalypse again.
9. PROFESSOR IS THE REAL VILLAIN
There are many people out there and in the movie also who are blaming Professor Charles Xavier for restricting Jean Grey in order to stop Dark Phoenix from coming out. It was Xavier who kept Jean’s bad side trapped in a bottle but the method and idea of stopping Jean Grey knowing about herself is really a bad idea and is the real reason of her turning into Dark Phoenix as in order to know what she really is all about. Thus, the movie can portray Xavier as the one who chooses a wrong path for doing a good thing.
10. NO FUTURE…NO LINK
There are many fans out there who want to see this movie as soon as possible because of excitement and to see the future of X-Men as there are reports that Disney is going to get all the rights of X-Men and in order to link the MCU with X-Men which sounds really amazing we will need a really good link between the two worlds and we hope, we see that in this movie and no weak link, which forces MCU to show something about the X-Men.
We really want to see the connection between the two timelines in this movie and hoping for an answer about the future of this franchise. But, there are reports that Disney is planning to end everything with this movie and hoping to start a new journey of X-Men under the MCU with fresh faces for years to come.
