When Disney acquired 20th Century Fox film and TV studios, Fox’s entertainment cable networks, and its international assets; fans were beyond euphoric. As Fox owned the right to the X-Men and the Fantastic Four; it now seems like about time they joined the Avengers within MCU.
We don’t need to mention that it’s every fan’s dream to see either Iron Man alongside the Silver Surfer or maybe the Wolverine go against the Hulk. As the MCU comes to the end of its original plan and we need to launch into the next chapter, and the X Men being rebooted it seems the perfect time to merge the two worlds.
Till this happens we can just sit and guess how these various storylines will be included in one franchise, here are some Fox characters we just can’t wait to enter the MCU.
The introduction of Cable in Deadpool 2 was at the perfect timing. Basically, a time-traveling assassin, Cabel just wanted to stop the mutant who eventually causes the loss of his family.
As the ‘time stone’ was crucial for Thano’s victory, the inclusion of Cabel with the Avengers would provide for a mechanism to counteract every time-traveling move of Thanos.
We obviously have no clear idea as to what will happen in Avengers 4, but seeing Cabel there would definitely be a welcomed surprise.
With the inclusion of X-Men in the Disney-Fox merger, fans began speculating all the endless rather infinite possibilities. Yet one possibility has left the fans more than excited and that is Wolverine joining or fighting beside the Avengers.
Wolverine has been the most famous, powerful members of the X Men and he could be the face of the X-Men’s incorporation into the MCU. Logan comes loaded with powers from his durability, to his Adamantium claws to his healing ability and these might just be what helps our heroes defeat Thanos.
3. Charles Xavier
Professor X’s mind knows no bounds and has been rightly called a weapon of mass destruction. His wisdom and psychic powers combined with the ability to locate any mutant (Cerebro) could easily bring a whole new dynamic to the MCU. Also if the X Men were to be introduced into the Avengers, Professor X seems like a good start.
If there’s one character we definitely need to see into the MCU it is Deadpool. It seems unclear how Deadpool would fit in the Avengers with Captain America taking offense at swearing.
Either way, it would be hilarious to watch. Perhaps fans would get to see a PG-13 friendly Deadpool when teaming up with the Avengers. The possibilities seem endless.
Mystique has always been a very fascinating and pivotal character in the MCU. She has always been unquestioningly loyal to Magneto and his plans and has done whatever it took to achieve her goals.
She is the kind of the anti-hero we can’t help but empathize with. We can only imagine what it would be like for the Avengers to face an evil- Mystique? Certainly an enemy totally unprepared for.
6. Jean Grey
Jean Grey is perhaps one of the most powerful mutants in the X-Men universe and bringing her into the MCU would only seem logical. Moreover Jean Grey has been a host to the powerful Phoenix Force the sheer power of which could even threaten Thanos.
The inclusion of characters like Jean Grey could prove that, instead of more heroes, a more powerful villain could spell Thanos’ defeat.
7. Doctor Doom
Victor Von Doom is one of the most notorious villains in Marvel history with a genius-level intellect and a financial background as impressive as Tony Stark himself.
Fighting him would almost be like fighting an extremely evil person of Iron Man. With the decent of Loki into a less villainous role, Doctor Doom could easily fill up the void.
Even though very little is still know about the Marvel’s plan for Phase Four but its safe to assume that the cosmic universe will become a bigger part of the story. And if we’re to spend more time in outer space, it’s almost inevitable to not run into a mammoth of villain: Galactus.
With the possible end of the Infinity Stones storyline, the heroes would need a far bigger villain to bring them together again. And we mean all the heroes from the Avengers, X-Men to Fantastic Four, all working together.
In Black Panther Volume 4: #14 and #15, T’Challa took a knee and proposed to Storm. Storm expressed her heartbreak of being separated from him as a child and then said yes to his proposal. Their marriage was then a vital moment uniting all the Marvel characters, with Disney now having the rights to Fox fans can’t help but hope for Storm to land into Wakanda.
Since 2000’s X-Men, Storm has been the binding glue to the X Men and seeing her besides Black Panther would bring explosive changes all along the various MCU storylines.
10. Fantastic Four
The Fantastic Four haven’t got the big on-screen treatment they deserve. Both the 2005 and the 2015 attempt took the characters into opposing directions without any room for the audiences to relate or empathize with them.
Still, the Fantastic Four seems like the most logical candidates to join the MCU in A4. With Tony stranded on Titan, Reed Richards seems like the genius who could take his place. Richards is one of the smartest characters in the Marvel Universe, and his intellect could save the day when it comes to beating Thanos.
Rogue is one of the most powerful members of the X MEN team due to her, particularly dangerous power set. She can easily drain the powers, energy and even memories of anyone she touches.
No wonder we can imagine her getting into close proximity to Thanos and draining him of all his energy and making him vulnerable for our heroes to defeat him. And we dare imagine what happens if she touches the Infinity Gauntlet?
12. Silver Surfer
The Silver Surfer comes with a huge amount of power at his disposal, using Power Cosmic Norrin Radd could easily tip the scales against Thanos. As the Herald of Galactus, the Silver Surfer is often not given enough attention and is rather underrated, perhaps joining the MCU would change that.
Moreover, Radd already has experience being around powerful presence such as Galactus and his knowledge defiantly would come handy to our heroes.
Magneto is perhaps one of the most dynamic characters to bring into the MCU. At times he’s a villain but still has shown remorse and empathy. Moreover, it will be easier for him to cross into the MCU as his children, the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, have already crossed over into the shared universe.
Whether he’s played by Ian McKellan or Michael Fassbender, Magneto is a charismatic villain; one we’re waiting to see besides or against the MCU characters.
Zazie Beetz as Domino achieved a remarkable feat in Deadpool 2 and that was to be alongside Ryan Reynolds and still leave a mark on the audiences.
It could have been tricky to show ‘luck’ on the big screen but Domino pulled it off; leaving fans to wonder how this can fit into the MCU. Domino is one character we’re waiting to know more about.
As heartbreaking as Logan was one of the silver linings was the introduction of Dafne Keen as Laura/X-23. Through Logan’s endeavors to protect her, Dafne both vulnerable and fierce at the same time; her character arch and development through the film has left fans yearning for a sequel.
Now if the mutants were to be included in the MCU, what better way than through the perspective of a young mutant than Dafne discovering her powers and place in the world.
