Avengers 4: New Promo Teases a Massive New Villain to Team Up With Thanos

Avengers 4:

Thanos established himself as the big bad of the MCU, and there is no other villain bigger than him in the entire Superhero movie genre. He not only managed to beat the Avengers but the ramifications of what he did were felt by the entire Universe. Even though he won the initial battle, he is still not done. The ending of Infinity War teased that he was done after having achieved his goal, but he will be dragged back into the game as the Avengers will go on to reverse the big snap.

The Mad Titan is supposed to be resting and living out his rest of the days in peace, but we will see him return and that will lead to his demise. But if you think about it, the surviving Avengers pack some real big guns when it comes to the core strength. The likes of Captain Marvel, Thor, Hulk, Captain America, Iron Man, Ant-Man (Giant Man) and possibly War Machine do outpower Thanos.

With Steve and Tony coming to equal terms and the Avengers striking together, Thanos won’t stand a chance even with the Infinity Stones in his hand. So, he might need support himself.

It is assumed that the likes of Red Skull, Hela and maybe some other old villains might be returning to team up with Thanos in his crusade to preserve the snap and keep things the way they currently are. The return of no other villain is confirmed at this point but perhaps the fact of a new villain altogether making his/her entry in the MCU has been given out.

The New White Team Suits of the Avengers have really got quite the eye amongst the people, but what people missed was the thing written beside it. Thor and Rocket look quite amazing in the new white suits but the text written beside them actually teases a new villain to come into the movie altogether. Have a look:

“The Asgardian Thor wields the mighty Stormbreaker in his battle against new foes. Rocket teams up with a new crew to guard the galaxy from an even greater threat.”

So according to this little text, Thor and Rocket will take on an entirely new villain while going on another side mission this time around. Since it is written that Rocket forms a new team signifying the Guardians of the Galaxy, we could imagine that the likes of Nebula and Valkyrie could be joining his and Thor’s new team. But the big question here is that who will be the Ally to Thanos in the film.

Avengers 4 Thanos

Bringing in a new villain might not be as good of an idea because the film will not have to explore a new villain and his/her character might get wasted just like the entire Black Order was in Infinity War. So, we could expect Thor to take on a relatively old Marvel Cinematic Universe villain instead.

But if you think about it, what if this little bit comes at the very end of the film? The white suits have not been seen anywhere in the set photos, so it is highly likely that they could be there to set up the future of where the Avengers would unite, or at least some of them do in order to take on an even bigger threat. “Rocket teams up with a new crew” and takes the retiring Avengers up into space. This could be a major possibility. If you see the packaging properly, you’d notice that Thor and Rocket aren’t the only ones dressed in the white suit.

There is a glimpse of Captain America in the white suit as well. So what if this suit is not a suit for the entire team of the Avengers, but it is a suit for the new Guardians of the Galaxy post-Avengers 4. We can see that Captain Marvel is not wearing the white suit, and the reason for that could be that she stays on Earth post Phase 3, in order to lead the new Avengers which include Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, Ant-Man, and the Wasp. The rest of the Avengers, whose contracts are expiring could leave on a journey to space and we could be led to believe that they are out there in the cosmos fighting the battles of the Universe.

This could be a cool way to retire for the likes of Captain America and Thor from the franchise as it would not require to kill those characters. Chris Evans can probably say a better goodbye this way. Let’s see how these suits will be used and what new villains show up into the mix. Avengers 4 comes out on May 3, 2019.
