MCU has become the biggest franchise in Hollywood as it has launched 20 movies in the last 11 years with a 100% success rate. This success has been majorly ensured by Iron Man, who started this magical Marvel Universe. He has been the center of it right from the get-go and only Captain America has caught up to such high standards after Tony Stark. Robert Downey Jr. has had the most number of MCU appearances till now, as he has appeared in 9 movies while Thor and Cap have appeared in 8.
The original 6 started from Phase 1, and out of them, Thor, Iron Man, and Cap have been the most relevant, and then followed by them is Black Widow who has had just 6 MCU appearances and along with her, Hulk has done his bit as he has also appeared 6 times in the MCU. Hawkeye has had only 4 MCU appearances so he is actually the least relevant of off Avengers. So you would imagine that the screen time of these heroes would also be divided similarly.
So considering this, a Redditor named @reddit_user_1948 has analyzed all the crossover events The Avengers have been a part of in order to figure out how many lines does each Avenger of the original 6 have in every crossover movie. Here’s a bar graph posted by the Redditor which tells that Iron Man is the most talkative Avenger out of the bunch.

Well, Robert Downey Jr. is the biggest star of the MCU and it seems that the extended screen time that he gets in the movies also extends to more dialogues than any other character. So for those of you who think Downey does not have to do much as compared to others as every time there is a scene of Iron Man, Downey might not have to be under the armour to film it, this is the proof that he actually has the bigger workload when it comes to remembering the lines.
Following him, Cap is the next big thing in the MCU and his trilogy has actually been the best out of all 3 solo hero trilogies. But Iron Man has just been bigger than him in every way! This analysis proves exactly that as RDJ has had more dialogues in every movie than Captain America and others. He even spoke more than Captain America even in a Captain America movie! That is how much Tony has outshone Cap.
Infinity War gave Cap nothing to do or say as this analysis has been done “each time a character speaks,” ranging from a small monologue to a one-word response. And counting all those dialogues, Cap got nothing to say in Infinity War as Compared to Iron Man and Thor. Ranking characters according to the number of Dialogues gives us this:

Anthony Russo talked about Iron Man in an interview earlier this year, and he revealed why he is so important to this franchise and how his character has evolved over the years:
“The character started as a very narcissistic, self-centered character. His arc in the first movie was to just begin to take a step beyond that, and we’ve continued him along that line in his journey that he’s had to the point where at the opening of Infinity War, his personal life is very thick. The stakes of his relationship with Pepper (Potts) are very high now. Also the fact that he’s had this mentor relationship with Peter Parker, it’s as if his personal life is becoming fuller and more important to him than it ever had before. And that’s an interesting counterpoint to his life as Iron Man, and also his life as Iron Man is a potential threat to that personal life as well. What’s happening with Tony Stark in this film is that he’s beginning to feel the tension between those two things, and that’s a difficult conflict for him.”
Iron Man will next appear in Avengers 4 and here’s the synopsis:
