If crazy is what you like, we bring you the very epitome of it. Marvel Comics has just launched yet another series which draws upon two of their most well-known and popular Superheroes. Captain America is the focus of the new story arc released under Marvel Publications but he finds himself merged with yet another power-packed Superhero of the MCU. The aftermath of that story arc would put one of the most prized possessions of the Marvel Universe – Captain America’ Shield, through an intense but a rather different storyline. Presenting – Marvel Comics Update – Captain America’s Shield is now made of [SPOILER]!!!
SPOILER ALERT – Major Spoilers for Infinity War: Soldier Supreme #1 up ahead. If you still haven’t read it yet, we suggest you look away….
In the newly released Soldier Supreme Comic book arc, the Super Soldier and the Sorcerer Supreme merge together to form the Soldier Supreme, a guy who can conjure an indestructible force field of pure magic shaped in the colors of red, white and blue. That’s right folks. Captain America’s Shield is not made of Vibranium anymore. It is pure and hundred percent magic.
Infinity War has taken an interesting turn. Gamora has been found to be the one who is pulling all the evil strings in that storyline. After losing her soul to the Soul Stone, Gamora has literally gone berserk with her mind deteriorating further and further the more her soul stays out if her body.
Gamora has attacked viciously her own allies and left death and destruction in her wake to satiate her hunger for her soul. She has killed Thanos and even Star-Lord in her journey to obtain the Soul Stone. Gamora has come into possession of the Reality Stone and has found an innovative way to incapacitate multiple opponents at once.
Using the reality stone’s powers, Gamora has merged Doctor Strange and Steve Rogers together to form an all-new entity that she thinks won’t project any credible threat to her quest.
Gerry Duggan is the writer for this crazy storyline and he himself has given an interesting spoiler as to how Gamora might be repeating Thanos’ actions in Infinity Gauntlet via the Infinity War arc. Using the Reality Stones’ powers, Gamora has already shown us that merging two souls into one is possible. If she gets the entire Infinity Gauntlet all set, then she could do that on a universal basis, combining the souls of the universe into one, thus essentially halving the whole universe.
Thanos killed to bring balance while Gamora might be doing the exact opposite to do the same thing. Gerry Dugan is heard saying:
I’ve got to be careful about spoilers when talking about this. At one point in time though, Thanos used the Infinity Stones to cut the number of souls in the universe by half. He did that by killing people. History may be repeating itself here but in a totally new and unexpected way. Because we just might be having the number of souls in the universe by mashing them together.
That’s a pretty meaty statement, but you’ll have to tune into Infinity Wars #2-#3 to really get a sense of where of that’s heading. Infinity Wars #3 really sets the table for that universe in a great way.

Do I really look like a guy with a plan? You know what I am? I’m a dog chasing cars. I wouldn’t know what to do with one if I caught it! You know, I just… do things
