Who Is Stronger: Godzilla Or Rodan – The Answer Will Surprise You

In the Japanese pop culture, Godzilla, Moth-Ra, Rodan, King Ghidorah and the other monster movies occupy a special place in the heart. They represent a distinct and extremely unique era of moviemaking that utilized gigantic monsters destroying entire cities to reap millions at the Box Office. Godzilla is making a comeback to the Hollywood industry. With the sequel to the blockbuster Godzilla movie already being planned, fans had a peculiar question to ask. Rodan is reportedly going to appear in the sequel. And the fans keep asking who is the stronger of the two: Godzilla or Rodan? The Director of Godzilla: King of the Monsters Michael Dougherty, has finally given an answer. Presenting – Who is Stronger: Godzilla or Rodan – The answer will surprise you!!!

According to Michael Dougherty, only one monster is going to come out as the victor and the sole survivor if the two monsters ever went to a one on one battle to the death. And it is someone you would have never expected. So!?!? Who will it be? Rodan, the Flying Fortress or Godzilla, the Crawling behemoth?!?!? Here is the answer.

It is…….Rodan!!! That’s right folks. Godzilla might be the King of the Monsters but he sure is not the one coming out breathing out of this fight. Michael Dougherty is heard saying that Rodan will be the clear champion of the two. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Dougherty is heard saying:

“Rodan’s been kind of a sidekick character, but I’ve always had a soft spot for him” Dougherty shared with Entertainment Weekly. “In a lot of ways he’s more powerful than Godzilla. He’s like this winged A-bomb. I think we’ve done him justice.”

Godzilla debuted for the very first time in the Hollywood Silver Screen after a long time in the 2014 movie of the same name. Godzilla went up against a mutated super beast called MUTO. The fans of the monster movies flocked to the theatres to watch the latest incarnation of the fan favorite Godzilla or “Gojira” as he is called in Japanese, to trample on metropolitan cities and save the Earth from destruction. Godzilla is even seen using his famous atomic breathability at the end of the movie to kill the two MUTOs. It was an asset that could be used by Godzilla when fighting against the Flying Rodan, who is known to attack from a distance.

Dougherty tries to distract the interviewer when he asks whether fans would see the atomic breath ability in the sequel again. Dougherty replies:

“Not without giving away too much,” the director joked when asked for more details about the power. “But it takes place at a very key moment and it’s a sort of call to arms.”

The first look of the Sequel to the 2014 movie shows Godzilla at the centre using his atomic breath ability with his mouth faced upwards. So the question of if it will debut has already been answered. The question is – When?

The Monster movies are only going to increase in numbers. The Monster-Verse has already plans to include elements within the next Godzilla movie that would point to the existence of King Ghidorah and Mothra within the Monster-Verse. The popular Kong for Kong: Skull Island, is also being primed to take on Godzilla in a movie being planned for release in the near future. The way ahead is tough for Godzilla. Let’s hope he comes out alive after so many encounters that the Studio has planned for him in the future. But for now, Rodan is the stronger of the two. That has been confirmed from official sources.
