Avengers 4 Comic-Con: Russo Brothers Topped Deadpool in Trolling Marvel Fans

The San Diego comic con is one of the biggest comic events on the globe. Every year companies, publishers, writers, and fans all flock over to San Diego to celebrate our shared love for comic books and the characters that they house. We love comics, we love their world and we definitely live that comic stories are slowly seeping into other visual media. This year Sony was a big attraction all throughout the comic con and DC revealed some great trailers. But the thing that has people talking and buzzing is Marvel, or rather the absence of Marvel Studios from the event. Not only did the biggest comic book movie studio did not make it to the event they also had the gall to tease the fandom with their most anticipated future release, Avengers 4.

Although the Russo brothers (the directors of Avengers 4) were not present at the event to promote their project they did send in a video to apologize to the fans. The video had the brothers literally apologizing to the fans for their absence because they were working on Avengers (beep). And then the duo repeated that the fans should wait for Avengers (beep). Yes, both times the Russo’s spoke the title they censored out the actual title. It’s a spoiler alert for all mankind. The Russo’s are specifically trying to rile up the fandom, this is its own kind of a publicity stunt. The brothers sure like to get the internet talking, it’s almost as if someone is paying them to create chatter. How peculiar.

This not the first ‘leak’ or hint towards the Avengers 4 title. Kevin Feign has already told us that the title will be a spoiler. This means that we may as of  yet interpret the plot of the entire movie based on the title. We have had rumors such as Avengers: End game and Avengers: Infinity Gauntlet spring up. The former from the website of the cinematographer of the movie (Trent place) , whose site was then taken down and Avengers endgame was replaced with Avengers 4. Very sly, Marvel. Very sly.

The truth is, we have no idea of what the title really is. Worse yet, we have no clue towards what the title could be. Although endgame is a worthy contender but there is also infinity gauntlet in the running which has deep comic lore references and significance.

At this point the writers can choose to go with anything and the Russo brothers can even conjure up a new title before release (if they don’t like the one they have decided now or it leaks) and we would simply have no way of knowing. But I guess it’s plausible to expect that the directors will stick to their word, more or less.

What is more important is the question that what does the title of Avengers 4 actually spoil. Are we peeled to see more death and destruction or are we just going to get another one of those Marvel fillers? It seems that Marvel has literally put all of its eggs in one basket with Avengers 4. It is perhaps the most important movie ever made in the comic book genre.

We would like to see certain flair in the movie that reminds us of the old infinity gauntlet saga. Me, personally, as a comic fan I would like to know the fear of Thanos. The true mystery of the crazy creature we call the Mad Titan. This is what Avengers 4 holds in store for us.
