The third Avengers movie, Avengers: Infinity War is perhaps the best of the lot. The grand culmination of the Marvel Cinematic Universe was only possible due to ten years of hard work by Marvel Studios. The movie is a product of world building by 18 Marvel Cinematic Universe movies that preceded it. It was the ultimate thriller that has won over hearts and minds of both critics and fans. The RT Score is 84% which is quite impressive.
The movie is making giant waves all over the world and the audience is lining up outside the theatre in droves. It opened to a massive opening weekend of around $640 million worldwide which is a record. And the movie has also become the fastest ever to reach $1 Billion in Box office collections within 11 days.
Avengers Infinity War saw the rise of Thanos the Mad Titan. He is the best MCU villain ever and he was every bit as scary as we thought. He was terrifying as hell and Avengers found him too menacing to pin him down. He wasn’t just a cosmic warlord who is on Earth to establish his dominance, instead, he is driven by a specific purpose i.e to bring balance to the universe.
He believed the resources were scarce and there are too many mouths to feed which plunges them into poverty and squalor. The only way to come out of this vicious cycle is if half the life is exterminated from the universe. He wanted to complete the Infinity Gauntlet with all six Infinity stones that could help him wipe out half the universe at the snap of his fingers. And guess what our worst nightmares came true.
The movie ended on a mother of all cliffhangers as Thanos retreated back safely. The heroes were dealt a severe blow. Avengers 4 will see the heroes’ regrouping back and find out a way to undo what happened in Avengers 3. But what about Thanos!!! Can the Avengers beat a guy who has the power of the Infinity Stones!! Turns out, they can. For Avengers 4, The Avengers need Secret Asgardian Super-Weapons to defeat Thanos!!!!

The Avengers barely laid even a scratch on Thanos. The Mad Titan was unlike any villain the Avengers had ever faced. The Guardians of the Galaxy and the Avengers fought Thanos, hoping to at least sop the guy in his tracks. They were in for one hell of a surprise. Thanos was nigh unstoppable.
The only time Thanos was injured was at the end of the movie, when Thor literally drove his new Weapon, Stormbreaker through his chest. All for nothing though, as Thanos managed to snap his fingers nonetheless. Damn it, Thor, why didn’t you go for the head?
All of the action was fruitless and Thanos still managed to plant his flag. But it did tell us one thing – Asgardian Uru weapons can hurt the Titan. This is where it gets interesting…
The Avengers are by and large weaponless in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Thanos fought Iron Man and literally beat the nanotech armor out of his body. The Vibranium shield that Captain America has been using since time immemorial was relinquished by Cap after the events of Captain America: Civil War. The shield he uses in the movie is neither as good looking nor does it look to be a permanent fix.
Thor’s Mjolnir hammer was shattered by Hela during the events of Thor: Ragnarok, so he went for an Ancient Ax ‘Stormbreaker’ for which he literally had to absorb massive amounts of heat to re-ignite the dying star and activate the forge.
The Avengers need weapons and not just any weapons but weapons that can hurt the Mad Titan. There is a huge trove of secret Asgardian weapons that Odin and Hela once used to conquer planets and destroying their enemies.
Thor’s Nodavellir arc showed us the Norse God of Thunder travel to the realm of the Dwarf smiths, Asgard’s greatest weapon-smiths. There we see Eitri, the king of the dwarves and the last surviving member of Nidavellir after Thanos wiped out everyone else to stop them from making another Infinity Gauntlet.
Eitri is their most skilled Weapon-smith. He has been working with Uru, the magical metal all Asgardian weapons are made of, and molding it into weapons of war since time immemorial. The Avengers need Eitri. He is the only one who can give them the one thing they need – Magical Asgardian Weapons made of Uru that are as strong, if not more, as Stormbreaker.
Interesting fact – the Avengers have already used Uru weapons in the comics. In the 2011 Fear Itself storyline, Thor’s Uncle came to Earth creating all sorts of chaos. Along with him came his attachment of warriors wielding their own Asgardian weapons called the Worthy. To combat the Worthy, a group of heroes banded together and were given their own Uru weapons called the Mighty. The Avengers successfully managed to drive away the bad guys. If it could happen in the comics, then why not in the movies!!!
The Fear Itself storyline works on multiple fronts for Avengers 4. In the comic book arc, Cap’s Vibranium shield was destroyed, broken into two pieces. He was later given a similar looking shield but made of Uru instead of Vibranium. Every hero except Wolverine is already a part of the MCU.
The Hulk is not ready to come out so Banner had to use the Hulk Buster to fight the Black Order. He could be given a similar weapon if the Hulk still refuses to come out. The epic beatdown that he got from Thanos really traumatized him for good.
Eitri played by the talented Peter Dinklage, one of the surprisingly best highlights of the movie could also get a ticket to star in Avengers 4 if this theory ever becomes a reality. Well, we can only wait for more details to come.
