Infinity War – Groot’s Final Words To Rocket At The End of The Movie Will Make You Weep!!!

The cinematic milestone that was Infinity War came with a lot of shocking twists and turns. Heroes died. Villains died. History was changed forever. The Mad Titan went on a quest to locate the six Infinity Stones namely Power, Space, Reality, Soul, Time, Mind. These are the most powerful objects in the Marvel universe, but collectively they would grant the wielder myriad God-like powers that will make him invincible.

Thanos came to Earth to balance the universe. He believed if life is left unchecked, it will grow and eat out all the finite resources the universe had to offer. He considered himself as the only one who is strong willed to take the hardest decisions for the universe. He believed life needed a course correction.

And that ‘course correction’ came at a price. Half of all life in the universe was wiped out. But the after-effects of that phenomenon are still being felt even after the movie’s release date was more than a week ago.

The Russos warned us beforehand that Avengers Infinity War involved a lot of heartbreak and that fans should be prepared for it, at first we all thought they were bluffing, but they were bang on and it really hit us as our emotional defenses were vulnerable. Here is what they said:

“This is it. Thanos is an unstoppable villain he’s virtually invincible, he’s highly intelligent – genius level intelligent – he’s like the Genghis Khan of the universe, and to stop him it’s going to cost them a lot. They’re going to have to see if they’re willing to pay that price, and that’s what these movies are really about. What we want is for the audience to be prepared, as there’s a lot of surprises – there’s going to be a lot of humor and a lot of heartbreak.”

“For us, it’s very important that the heroes feel pain and that they make sacrifices because I think that, not only is a great storytelling, but it also is inspiring and I think we need a lot of inspiration in this world right now. So, for us, I don’t know if we can ever get you to accept it, but I promise you this: we’ll do our best to tell you the best story possible, and what you do with it from there is up to you.”

“We love being told good stories, and we love telling good stories, and all of our energy, and our effort, and our thought, and our passion goes into telling the best story that we can. And for us, the best stories have stakes. Characters have to make sacrifices. To really, really feel the true emotion and the hero’s journey they have to go through trials and those trials could cost them something.”

While heroes did die, the meaning behind their deaths is starting to rock the Marvel fan base to its very core. A recent Infinity War revelation claims what Groot’s final words to rocket at the end of the movie were and we promise it will make you weep!!!

SPOILER ALERT: Major Infinity War Spoilers up ahead. Enter at your own risk….

The end of the third Avengers movie saw Thanos getting what he wanted. The central antagonist of the movie, Thanos the Mad Titan wanted to complete his Infinity Gauntlet with all the stones embedded in it. He did. And all it took was a snap of his fingers to wipe out half the universe in a millisecond. As Thanos retreated back safely, the heroes were confused as to what just happened. And then the truth hit us like a thunderstorm.

Thanos has successfully managed to wipe out half of all life. The heroes that fell prey to Thanos’ crusade, turned to dust one by one as the surviving Avengers looked in horror. The Guardians were hit the most. Almost every member of the Guardians was killed by Thanos. Everyone except Rocket Raccoon had a name up the Infinity War casualty list.

Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Falcon, Nick Fury, Drax, Mantis and Star Lord are only a few of the many who kissed their gravestones in Infinity War. But it was the death of Groot that has managed to grab everyone’s attention. Before Groot withered away, he said something to Rocket.

While all we heard was ‘I am Groot’, the way he said it sounded like it means something. Fans were left guessing as to what Groot’s final words to Rocket were. Believe it or not, the truth is harder to look at than you would have ever imagined.

James Gunn, the director of the GOTG movies, claims the final words of Groot are so heart wrenching it will make anyone cry like a baby. While we want to deny it as much as we can, Marvel Studios have seconded his claims so it is official now. If what James Gunn claims is indeed true (which it is), we are in for one hell of an emotional ride.

James Gunn recently took to the social platform Twitter. There he encountered a question that was making the rounds throughout the internet. A fan asked Gunn what were Groot’s Final Words to Rocket before he died. It most certainly did not mean ‘I am Groot’ even though all it sounded was ‘I am Groot.’ Groot’s three-word vocabulary is a language in itself that only a few understand.

Gunn, being the director of the franchise that introduced Groot to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is one of those people. His answer will surprise you.

Get ready to have some feels. This is indeed heartbreaking.

James Gunn claims when Groot said ‘I am Groot’ to Rocket at the end of the movie, what the little fella actually meant was:

“Goodbye

.

.

.

.

.

‘Dad’ ”
