The Ghost Rider From MCU Has Been Cast As The New Terminator

The Terminator franchise is one of the most adrenaline-filled, edgy, and racy of all time. T 1 marked the birth of a major sci-fi franchise which shattered box-office records in the sci-fi genre. T 2 topped the first movie and catapulted Arnold Schwarzenegger to global fame. He was always a great action star but T 2: Judgment Day turned him into a god.

Terminator 3 was a disappointment after the first two amazingly well-made movies in the franchise. Terminator: Salvation did not even have Schwarzenegger, and T 5 is being ignored from its existence as even though we got to see Schwarzenegger return as T-800, it still turned out to be God-awful. Now, He will be returning to T 6 and would be de-aged using CGI and visual effects.

What is good about this one is that the Director of the remarkably successful Deadpool movie, Tim Miller will be directing this one. But the main reason why this will not be a screw up like the previous 3 movies in the franchise is that James Cameron is back to supervise things with T 6. Moreover, he is working on an entire Trilogy starting with T 6.

Facts About The Terminator

This may be the last Terminator movie for the Legendary Arnold Schwarzenegger as the mantle of T-800 will be passed to a new actor who will take the baton through the rest of the franchise. This time Terminator cannot be a failure as we have Hollywood’s biggest names involved in making this movie. Along with Deadpool director Tim Miller, who turned Deadpool into a huge box office hit with just $58 Million in his hands, and James Cameron, who made the two good Terminator movies and made the two highest grossing movies of all time, Titanic and Avatar, writing the script and Supervising things on T6, David S. Goyer, Justin Rhodes, Billy Ray and Justin Friedman will be penning down the script for this movie.

The best thing about this one is that Linda Hamilton who played Sara Conner in the first two Terminator movies is going to be back for the sixth one and that may be yet another reason to why this movie is going to be a big success. The story of the sixth movie will be based upon what happened in the first two Terminator movies, ignoring all other 3 bad Terminator movies. Well, the continuity has been a sort of issue for the Terminator franchise post-Terminator 2, so why not fix it with a proper T 3 in the name of T 6.

James Cameron mentioned some details about the new cast of the movie and the characters he is looking to pass the baton to. Here’s what we said:

“We’re starting a search for an 18-something woman to be the new centerpiece of the new story. We still fold time. We will have characters from the future and the present. There will be mostly new characters, but we’ll have Arnold and Linda’s characters to anchor it.”

Now, great news for the fans is that the current Ghost Rider from the MCU, who appears on Agents of SHIELD and is played by Gabriel Luna, has joined the reboot franchise for Terminator, and he will be playing a new Terminator who menaces Dani Ramos. Along with him, Natalia Reyes and Diego Boneta are also confirmed to join the cast of Terminator 6 for unspecified roles.  So, Cameron may have found his young actors he would be looking to pass the Baton to.

New Terminator ghost rider MCU

It is good that the franchise has found a new and very capable actor to continue the franchise, and it may be a great choice choosing an actor not as bulked up as Schwarzenegger to play a Terminator. It reminds us how amazing Robert Patrick, the antagonist of Terminator: Judgement Day, who played T-1000 in the movie was, and it provides the possibility of the future Terminator movies to be great as well.

Terminator 6

Well, the release date for the new Terminator movie has been delayed a little as it was scheduled to come out on July 29, 2019, but now it will open on November 22, 2019. The probable reason for this delay would be that Arnie recently had a heart surgery, so he may need more time to recover properly. The shooting was supposed to start in October this year, but let’s see whether that gets delayed or not.
