Benedict Cumberbatch Reveals Who Other Than Him Would Be Perfect To Play Doctor Strange

Avengers Infinity War is almost here and it’s just 22 days away from its worldwide release. This is the greatest comic book ensemble we have ever seen on the big screen. The scale of the movie is immensely huge as 76 A-List actors will assemble in one epic finale event where they take on the big bad built up in the last 10 magical years of the MCU. One of the most important characters that is going to appear in Infinity War is Doctor Strange.

Benedict Cumberbatch was the perfect casting to play this role. Well, he has the perfect chops to play any role tossed up to him, but Doctor Strange is literally the best for him. He has very ardent fans as he got to be the part of Star Trek, Sherlock Holmes and now MCU, and along with these three big movies and TV houses, he has done some really amazing work in the industry.

Doctor Strange was the role that was written in his destiny as his schedules were not clear for appearing in this movie, and the role might have gone to Ryan Gosling instead, but Marvel actually delayed production upon this movie so that they could bring in Cumberbatch for the movie.

During the press tour of Infinity War, Cumber batch has revealed something quite funny and interesting for moviegoers and cricket fans throughout the world. Cumberbatch was recently in Singapore promoting Infinity War on the press tour, and there he met the former Australian cricket sensation, Brett Lee. The two had quite an interesting conversation which all of us would love to hear.

Lee asked Benedict that according to him, who would be the perfect cricketer to play the role of Doctor Strange if the situation ever arose. Benedict Cumberbatch revealed one of his favorite cricketers to be fit for the part. Here’s what he said:

“Sachin Tendulkar would do quite well in fitting the role as Doctor Strange as he is quite extraordinary.”

Sachin Tendulkar has really inspired all generations of people throughout the Globe with what he has done throughout his career in cricket. The Master Blaster is the God of cricket. Benedict Cumberbatch was asked about who is his favorite cricketer, and here’s what he had to say:

“Graham Gooch was my hero when growing up. I loved playing cricket and because I was a wicketkeeper, I had my eye on Jack Russell.”

Well, do you guys think Sachin would look good in this role. He surely has worked his magic on the field, but can he work his magic in the movies as well? Can he pull off the Sorcerer Supreme? Role your imagination and answer this fan-fic question.

Infinity War is going to be a mega-crossover event and Doctor Strange will have a significant role in the movie. But the character who will have the most amount of screen time and significance will be Thor. Joe Russo revealed that ahead of Cap and Iron Man, Thor will be really important for the film. Here’s what he said:

“Interestingly enough, I’ll start out by saying Thanos, even though he’s not a character that had a huge preexisting story in the Marvel universe. He was a threat but he was not developed in any way up to this point. Thanos has an incredible amount of screen time in this film, in a lot of ways I would say it’s his movie. Our job when we make these films — and what we feel is important to us — is to surprise the audience. We wanted to tell a story that they weren’t expecting, and the story is told from the point of view of a villain, which I think is also really unique and risky for a commercial film that will surprise the audience. I think this is a market where the audience really enjoys innovation and disruption, and we want to do something innovative in this space. So I think Thanos has an incredible amount of screen time, and I think you’ll find that Thor has a really interesting arc in the film. He hasn’t been at the forefront of other Avengers movies but he certainly has a very important role in this film. So I’ll say, Thanos and Thor.”
