Avengers: Infinity War – Here’s What Will Happen When ‘The Hulk’ Goes One to One Against Thanos!

Avengers: Infinity War will be upon us in 3 days and the hype is really skyrocketing. These two weeks are going to be really hard to go through with the movie so close to us. This massive crossover event is going to create history in all aspects, as it has the biggest movie budget of all time. Moreover, 67 major characters are going to be a part of this gigantic extravaganza. It is expected to impress all the critics, blow us all away, and shatter the box office!

Thanos is going to make his presence felt for the first time in the last decade. We will see him take on all the Avengers individually and collectively as well. Even if all the Avengers will combine their strengths, they will still not be able to take down the Mad Titan if he manages to assemble all the Infinity Stones onto his Gauntlet. We know Thanos is going to crush anyone that will come in his way. He is not just extremely powerful but super intelligent as well, there are hardly any weaknesses of him that Avengers can exploit. Here’s what Russos said:

“This is it. Thanos is an unstoppable villain he’s virtually invincible, he’s highly intelligent – genius level intelligent – he’s like the Genghis Khan of the universe, and to stop him it’s going to cost them a lot. They’re going to have to see if they’re willing to pay that price, and that’s what these movies are really about.”

Be that as it may, if there is one fight that we all are waiting to see is between Mad Titan and one of the big guns of The Avengers, Hulk take on Thanos one on one. Remember what Tony jokingly said to Loki when he said that he has Chittauri army, he quipped “We have Hulk”. Well, it’s time to see the stuff Hulk is made of. Is he a puny god in the face of Thanos?

This is a battle we have wanted to see ever since Avengers: Infinity War was announced. Many fans would imagine the Green Goliath smashing Thanos, and Thanos doing something which no one has ever been able to do, i.e. beat down the Hulk. There are fans who think this isn’t even a fair fight as Thanos ain’t a puny god like Loki (although it was unbelievable that Loki can be humiliated like that) but we ain’t seen nothing yet, so everything is just pure speculation.

By what we know till now, The Hulk will get to fight Thanos, and for that, we would not have to wait a lot as it will happen right at the beginning of the movie. The movie will probably open up right where Thor: Ragnarok left us. The scene would open up with Thanos and the Black Order attacking Thor’s ship. While doing that Thanos will face off against two of the strongest Avengers, but by the looks of the marketing material, Thanos will knock them down with ease!

Avengers: Infinity War

This battle will actually leave a trauma on the Hulk, and he will be afraid of Thanos from here on. Hulk will somehow be knocked off of Thor’s ship and crash on Earth into the Sanctum Sanctorum where Doctor Strange will find him.

From there on, Banner will be the one to inform everyone about Thanos. But thinking about how this fight is going to have an impact upon the Hulk will be interesting to see. Mark Ruffalo spoke to Screen Rant and he said that The Hulk and Thanos will be a pivotal moment for the movie and its follow up:

“Well, uh, that’s, that’s tricky. It definitely has ramifications. He’s definitely, he’s never met, uh, another opponent quite like that and um, uh, their first encounter sort of a propels what will be, you know, the rest of these next two movies. So, um, and then what ends up happening between Bruce and The Hulk.”

Well, many characters are coming into this movie and all of them will have their significance on the plot. Some of the characters are going to be heavily involved and have a lot of screen time while some will have very less involvement and screen time. Joe Russo, the co-director of the movie revealed that it is Thor who will have the most amount of screen time and hence significance to the plot when it comes to the Avengers.

Here’s what he said:

“Interestingly enough, I’ll start out by saying Thanos, even though he’s not a character that had a huge preexisting story in the Marvel universe. He was a threat but he was not developed in any way up to this point. Thanos has an incredible amount of screen time in this film, in a lot of ways I would say it’s his movie. Our job when we make these films — and what we feel is important to us — is to surprise the audience. We wanted to tell a story that they weren’t expecting, and the story is told from the point of view of a villain, which I think is also really unique and risky for a commercial film that will surprise the audience. I think this is a market where the audience really enjoys innovation and disruption, and we want to do something innovative in this space. So I think Thanos has an incredible amount of screen time, and I think you’ll find that Thor has a really interesting arc in the film. He hasn’t been at the forefront of other Avengers movies but he certainly has a very important role in this film. So I’ll say, Thanos and Thor.”
