Avengers Infinity War is almost here and it’s just 15 days away from its worldwide release. This is the greatest comic book ensemble we have ever seen on the big screen. The scale of the movie is immensely huge as 67 A-List actors will assemble in one epic finale event where they take on the big bad built up in the last 10 magical years of the MCU. Half of these guys are superheroes.
But despite a stellar cast of superheroes, the main character of ‘Infinity War’ is going to be Thanos. He is coming with his Black Order an army of alien fighters (also known as Outriders) to retrieve Infinity stones scattered all over the universe. According to Russos, Avengers Infinity War is a like heist movie where Mad Titan will launch an all-out assault to steal cosmic singularities and every time he steals it, someone dies. Here’s what they said:
“With “Infinity War,” the biggest new element to the movie is Thanos and the fact that he’s entering the storytelling in a very bold, strong way, to the degree that he’s almost one of the leads. We’ve shaped an interesting narrative around him that in some ways leans heavily on a heist film in the fact that he’s going after the infinity stones in a much bolder, successful way than he has in the past. The entire movie has that energy of the bad guy being one step ahead of the heroes. We looked at a lot of movies that had that heist-style energy to them, and that brought some inspiration”.
Since the digital marketing of the movie has really kicked in at full force every day something new keeps getting revealed about the movie. Ever since March began, we got to see new promo arts, photos and magazine cover being released almost every day, revealing almost all the characters of the movie along with other important aspects.
The new trailer of the movie showed light on many new plot details but still, it kept the main story of the movie hidden. Coming so close to the movie the marketing has been going on in full force as we are not just getting new trailers, TV Spots and Clips for the film, but advertisements and product placements are also happening in association to the film.
Marvel has been signing deals with different companies for all the movies that come out. Audi has been associated with Marvel for a long long time. We saw a great commercial which was shot as if it were between an action sequence of Captain America: Civil War.

Marvel also brought in a commercial with Coca-Cola where Ant-Man and the Hulk were involved during the time of Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man in 2015. It was a chase sequence where the Hulk chases Ant-Man for a can of Coke!

Recently, Lexus Collaborated with Marvel during the marketing stint of Black Panther and another commercial for this huge Luxury Car Brand had hit the internet. Now, imagining the size and scope of Avengers Infinity War, every company would want to advertise with Marvel as this movie is going to be insanely huge.

Now, Duracell has also collaborated with Marvel and we have got a new Commercial featuring the Duracell bunny helping out Iron Man to fight Thanos. This makes me believe that I’ve seen everything in life, and could die in peace. But hold on, I have not seen everything as Avengers Infinity War is still about two weeks away, so I will have to stay alive till then at least.
Marvel has begun the press tour of the movie, and they have been revealing a lot of interesting things. Recently, the Russo bros revealed the Avenger who will have the most amount of screen time. We may assume that apart from Thanos, Iron Man or Captain America may be the ones to have the most screen time in the film, but as it turns out, it is Thor who will have the most impact in this movie as he will go through a painful journey in the movie and will have a great influence. Here’s what Joe Russo had to say about this:
“Interestingly enough, I’ll start out by saying Thanos, even though he’s not a character that had a huge preexisting story in the Marvel universe. He was a threat but he was not developed in any way up to this point. Thanos has an incredible amount of screen time in this film, in a lot of ways I would say it’s his movie. Our job when we make these films — and what we feel is important to us — is to surprise the audience. We wanted to tell a story that they weren’t expecting, and the story is told from the point of view of a villain, which I think is also really unique and risky for a commercial film that will surprise the audience. I think this is a market where the audience really enjoys innovation and disruption, and we want to do something innovative in this space. So I think Thanos has an incredible amount of screen time, and I think you’ll find that Thor has a really interesting arc in the film. He hasn’t been at the forefront of other Avengers movies but he certainly has a very important role in this film. So I’ll say, Thanos and Thor.”
So, it’s great to know that the mighty God of Thunder will be the most important Avenger. Also, let’s wait and see what more great advertisements we could get to see having Infinity War attached to it.
The movie comes out on April 27, 2018. It is directed by Russo brothers who have a remarkable track record of making big comic-book ensemble movies, their best work is Captain America: Civil War. The movie is produced by Marvel head Kevin Feige along with a set of executive producers including God of Marvel comics Stan Lee, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo etc. The screenplay has been written by a talented duo – Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely.
