New Evidence Comes Out That Proves An Avenger Has The Soul Stone

Avengers: Infinity War is less than 45 days away, and by this time, people have their brains exploding with questions and hype. It will be the greatest comic book ensemble movie as it is set to feature around 67 comic book characters and nearly half of them are the superheroes. Never before has anything like this been attempted by any studio except Marvel.

Till yesterday a full-fledged trailer and a TV spot had been released by the makers and it totally owned the internet. For the first time, we saw the Mad Titan aka Thanos landing on Earth in search of Infinity stones in order to assemble the Infinity Gauntlet that grants its user control over the major elements of the universe. He is not alone in this quest but has brought along his Black Order, ruthless alien invaders who are some of the deadliest cosmic creatures in the realm.

There are six cosmic singularities namely Power stone, Mind stone, Space stone, Time Stone, Reality stone and Soul stone. In the trailer, we saw Thanos already has acquired two Infinity gems – Space and Power Gem. Time stone is with Doctor Strange, Reality stone is with ‘The Collector’ and Mind stone is in Vision’s forehead. Soul stone is yet to be discovered in the MCU.

The movie is going to surprise us in every way, and every day new theories keep hitting the internet that may be potential spoilers but turn out to be nothing but big grains of salt. One of the biggest surprises the movie has been hiding from the audiences is the Soul Stone.

People have had some crazy anticipations and theories suggesting the location of the Soul Stone, but till now, most of them have turned out to be false. Marvel has been hiding it from the fans for 10 years now. While all other Infinity Stones have got their moments and reveals in various movies, the Soul Stone still has been hiding somewhere far from the boundaries of our imagination.

People thought that it will surely be revealed in Thor: Ragnarok as either Heimdall or Hela would possess the Soul Stone. There was evidence behind it as Heimdall can see the ‘Souls’ of every individual in this world. Hela is the Goddess of Death so she may have been taking away the souls of her victims. And the initials of their names also seemed to be fitting with the THANOS theory (T- Tesseract, H- Hela/Heimdall, A- Aether, N- Necklace, O- Orb, S- Sceptor), but that did not turn out to be true. Well it might in Infinity War, but seems highly unlikely.

The second theory suggested that the Soul Stone is hiding in Wakanda and that is why the people of the nation preferred to stay in hiding in order to prevent the Gem. But it turned out that they were hiding the abundance of Vibranium to protect it from getting into the wrong hands. There is still speculation that the stone could be there as we saw a literal ‘Soul World’ which was full of the souls of the Wakandan people, but that theory has also possibly been watered by the Director of the movie.

The most recent speculation came out to be due to a marketing stunt that happened just a few days ago. A piece of Promo Art for Avengers: Infinity War showed all the Infinity Stones. Along with the other 5 Infinity Stones, there was also the mysterious Soul Stone and we may possibly get an Idea of who currently has it in the MCU. Even in the comics, the Soul Stone has been the trickiest of all the Infinity Stones, and along with Thanos, the MCU has also been building up to the Soul Stone and its location.

Promo Art shows the heroes who are and have been related in the past with the Infinity Stones that have been revealed in various movies till now. The Space Gem has Captain America at the center of it, along with the other Avengers, probably because of the fact that Tesseract was first revealed in Captain America: The First Avenger. The Power Gem has Star-Lord at the center of it along with the Guardians and the Avengers because it was first revealed in Guardians of the Galaxy.

The Time Gem has Doctor Strange at the center because it was revealed in Doctor Strange’s solo movie hidden in the Eye of Agamotto. The Reality Stone has Thor at the center of it because it appeared for the first time in Thor: The Dark World. The Mind Stone has Vision at the center of it because he bears it and it was revealed in Avengers: Age of Ultron. So according to this theory, if the Soul Stone has Iron Man at the center, then is Tony Stark the one who somehow has the Soul Stone?

Now, yet another piece of Marketing has hit the web suggesting the same thing. These two are totally different Marketing products, and yet they suggest the same thing. New Infinity War cups have been released and they show something similar to what has been discussed above. These cups also show the Infinity Stones, and the characters related to them. And this time also, the cup having the Soul Stone shows Iron Man within it.

Now, this could be coincidental or a kind of decoy played by Marvel to get us off the track, but two totally different marketing departments giving out something similar seems highly unlikely. So let’s assume that Tony somehow has it. So where has it been all this time? Has Tony been sitting on it for 10 years? Well if Tony’s case is true, then there would surely had been a set up in all three Iron Man movies and they would be hiding some Easter Egg that has somehow been missed till now. Or it could be entirely different. Does Tony have it inside of him? Who knows! All sorts of crazy speculations are going to hit the internet from now on.

The official plot synopsis released by the Marvel studios can be read below:

“Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk and the rest of the Avengers unite to battle their most powerful enemy yet — the evil Thanos. On a mission to collect all six Infinity Stones, Thanos plans to use the artifacts to inflict his twisted will on reality. The fate of the planet and existence itself has never been more uncertain as everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment”

“An unprecedented cinematic journey ten years in the making and spanning the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Infinity War” brings to the screen the ultimate, deadliest showdown of all time. The Avengers and their Super Hero allies must be willing to sacrifice all in an attempt to defeat the powerful Thanos before his blitz of devastation and ruin puts an end to the universe”.

“As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain”.

The cast is unbelievably amazing as it has a lot of heavyweights including Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Sebastian Stan (Winter soldier), Anthony Mackie (Falcon), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Jeremy Reiner (Hawkeye), Benedict Cumberbatch (Dr. Strange), Tom Holland (Spiderman), Letitia Wright (Shuri), Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Evangeline Lilly (Wasp), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlett Witch), Paul Bettany (Vision), Chris Pratt (Starlord), Vin Diesel (Groot), Bradley Cooper (Rocket Raccoon), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Karen William (Nebula), Dave Bautista (Drax), Josh Brolin (Thanos).
